Polish Gp Bydgoszcz
Joanne replied to sjw ministerofport's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Snap. See you there Sorry if I can't answer any more of your questions but if most people are staying there it must be the in place and can't be that far away. Also I've asked Rico too many questions already. -
You are welcome to come along with me, Doc. I wonder how many miles we'll walk this time Looking forward to it
-
Well that's me booked up. Bydgoszcz, here we come
-
Found this website while I was surfing on the internet looking for info on POLAND http://www.praguepubs.co.uk/ Well, I suppose it will come in handy for those going to Prague and it has travel info on it also
-
Thanks, Rico. That'll do. I did find out a few more bits of info this afternoon. Taken from a travel website: Getting to town. By taxi will cost from 20zl upwards. There are three taxi stands in the arrival hall, all accept credit cards and charge an initial fee of 5zl. Hotel Sobieski and the Sheraton have fixed price taxis (available to non-guests) and charge 40zl and 50zl respectively. The bus to the city centre is N°175 and the stop is on the fourth island outside the terminal building. The city buses stop at the red bus shelters and Warsaw Central station is 16 stops from the airport. Buses run regularly between 04:58 and 22:35. After this there are two buses per hour (at night the N° 611 bus runs to Warsaw Central). Tickets can be bought from the RUCH shop or from the machines outside (coin operated only). Remember to buy a ticket for your luggage.

Thanks for that Rico. I was going to say how do you know I'm not staying for the all night drinking session but you know how much I'm not a party animal, don't you But I suppose that train is a bit early anyway and I wouldn't like to have to catch a train and a plane anywhere in the world on a Sunday . So far my plans are to fly on the 16th, stay in Warsaw and then train it to Byd on the Friday. I would travel back on the Sunday afternoon staying in a hotel at the airport for the early morning flight on the Monday. Theres just one thing, how far is the airport from the train station and there seems to be three train stations, which one is the right one? Is it the one with 0 connections to Byd? Questions over, well for now anyway

Message for Doc I have tried to reply to your email reference going to the Polish GP but your account is over quota and it keeps coming back to me.
-
Rico, I've just had a look at the website to see how much. Wow, what a bargain. As there only seems to be one plane per day, which days do you suggest to be able to catch trains etc? I don't want to fly back on the Sunday and theres no trains to get back to the airport

Thanks for the info, MM. But would I be allowed on a Poole coach with being a member of the Bees Supporters Club ? As for Prague, I don't know the exact distance. Certainly too far to walk, maybe something like 5 miles but its still part of Prague and theres plenty of transport. You can't get lost.
-
Just an idea, i travel to most GP'S with Sea view Coaches who are based in Poole. They are running trips to 4 GP'S this year and Bydgoszcz is one of them. Each trip costs £235.00 which includes coach travel,Dover crossing and hotel accommodation. That is based on twin share, there is an extra fee for single room, but it will be alot cheaper than Travel Plus. Hope this is some help to you, also an advert should be going in the Speedway Star soon. : Thanks, MM. I will look out for the advert. Will be subscribing to the SS this week. Did notice the Seaview coach in Prague. Do they go anywhere London or do I have to go all the way to Poole?
-
Quite expensive. It would cost me £529 to go the Bigdosh. Probably better to sort it out myself. Why is the single supplement so high?
-
Wanting to go to Bydgoszcz that much that I've booked 5 days off work for the GP. Anyone who is thinking of going to the GP alone or as a group can tag on with me/keep me company (just don't follow me, I'm bound to get lost). Would take my best buddy Pawprint but I reckon there will be too many fireworks for her Now where do I start looking to book this trip

Joanne replied to False dawn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well, I am now definately going to the GP. Booked my short break in June before anybody else did. So you'll just have to suffer my jumping up and down during the GP, won't you? -

Crazysue, what about this place? http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/holidays/uklodges/parks/rock.html Would be perfect for a family. Have been trying to persuade my husband to go there in August but so far I've been unsuccessful -
Thanks Tony. I'd do the same for you if the situation arises again

Cardiff Date.slip Up Or What?
Joanne replied to iris123's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well at least the thugs will be in Portugal and not in Cardiff -
Don't know why the seller is selling both of them. Ten miles is quite near when you consider some supporters end up in Bristol or Cirencester. If it were me I wouldn't put it on Ebay. I'd just tell a friend that I had accommodation spare like I did 2 years ago when Addy ended up sleeping in my bed.

Has anyone noticed that tickets are also being sold by Ticketmaster? Their highest price is £45 although it seems to be in the lower section. -
Which Gp's Are People Planning To Go To??
Joanne replied to Jez's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Apart from Cardiff, don't know where I'm going yet. Would like to go to Germany but they haven't gave us a venue yet. Also waiting for definate confirmation on a new job so I'll probably be on a shift system so I'll just go to the ones in between my shift. Smiles, try Easyjet sometime in December. As for hotels try http://www.totalstay.com/ Jive, Prague is easier than Cardiff. The instructions are on the old site somewhere . As for hotels try http://www.athos.cz/ -
