  1. Sounds tempting. Now where's my Glasgow scarf ?
  2. Nope I definately get the middle tier. Try the £60 tickets.
  3. Better to look on http://www.seetickets.com/speedwaygp/event...showcode=160266 Should be plenty of tickets left.
  4. I used the train a couple of years ago from Paddington. Took the hassle away from getting lost with not having a navigator in Cardiff. Trouble was on the way back there was engineering work being done on the line so I was stuck at Cardiff station for about a hour and a half
  5. I thought the same, but my bum only temporary meets the seat as I jump up and down excitedly Think I'm in N1 or was that N3, can't remember
  6. I'm not into statistics Kev but surely Lee Richardson is better than Mark.
  7. And this year, if he rides like he is just now I can't see him getting in the team.
  8. Well I think she is a brilliant choice, or maybe I am just old Will make sure I get there early.
  9. And will you be wearing protection, Mr Snackette, in the form of a hat with horns on it?
  10. So who is in the bar first, the Manchester lot or the Southern Softies?
  11. Yes, it would be nice but I will be in sunny High Wycombe instead. Maybe catch up with you in Cardiff.
  12. Get well soon, ML. Hopefully I will see you in the season during our Northern Tour (no Glasgow or Berwick this time ). Definately would recommend Assen and Ice Speedway to anyone who has not been, even though a cold bum is experienced Unfortunately I will not make it this year, my bank account is poorly
  13. What, you used to be called Bruce Penhall, Shaz ?
  14. 1982 World Final is now out on DVD. I rented it out from Tesco and watched it at work last night. Definately worth seeing. I think I only saw it the once, not like the '81 Final that I saw many times. The presentation is not very good apart from Barry Briggs, he's OK. Fashion is not good also. Can't believe how good Les Collins was and how young he looked. A young Tom Hanks. As for Kenny Carter, didn't he sound like Ian Thomas? There is no way he should have been chucked out of that race. If he hadn't, who knows what might have happened even to the point of his future, if he had been World Champion. Dennis Sigalos, what a cutie, he was. Much nicer that Bruce. I wonder what he looks like now.
  15. I wouldn't miss Cardiff for anything. Best day of the year. If the price goes up I will just have to save harder and possibly miss a few meetings in May/June.
  16. First time I have ever been to High Beech. Couldn't see much of the old track but walked around the banking and closed my eyes and imagined how it was. It was a bit crowded in the main hall. Could hardly move. Nice to meet up with Kevin Hammond, Cheetahhawk, Scorpio, Brian, Doc, Sean and Norbold.
  17. I would have thought that the confirmation would be alright and you would pay the price on it. I was quoted a price in Bydgoszcz a few years ago just by email. I checked out of the hotel only to be given a bill much higher. Being Scottish I wouldn't accept it and showed them the email. They soon brought the price down
  18. If you look at this site http://www.crash.net/calendar_view~cid~19.htm its got Poland and Sweden for the first two meetings and Cardiff for the playoff and final. Wouldn't that be good
  19. Thanks Addy. I am confused about the biology bit. Where does that come in? I suppose the whole trip will be good for her organisations skills as well. I'll put that in the letter as well. Carelesscause is more excited about having 2 days off school than the actual speedway
  20. I will have to get my daughter off school for the Friday and Monday. Just thinking of what I'm going to write. Dear Miss -----
  21. That's bad. The people flying to Gdansk on the Friday (like our party) should beat the Bydgoszcz lot to the forum meet on the Friday night.
  22. 2210, that's a bit late. What time was the return flight in the beginning?
