We are clearly missing Hans this year. A good and exciting rider but who knows if he would have a good year in the GPs. Some riders are brilliant in the league but when it comes to GPs, they're rubbish

My weekend started off feeling really excited after a nights work on Thursday. The journey to Cardiff wasn't too bad, even managed not to get lost. Hotel: Stayed in the McDonald lodge. Rooms were massive. Breakfast wasn't up to much and the bar prices were too high, £6 odd for a becks and bud. Not as far as I had imagined to town though. Friday night: Saw my first Glasgow away win since 1984. Brilliant. But before Pammie laughs again, Glasgow probably beat Edinburgh then. My scarf is locked away now away from matches Saturday before the GP: Managed to get Kevin Hammond totally lost in Cardiff. Sorry Went to the POW far too early, felt tired and hot and didn't meet any new forum members there GP: Different. I thought the crowd was quite large but not as noisy as last year apart from when Scotty made his passes. Felt sorry for Greg, nearly started crying when he fell off. Racing wasn't up to much, nor the entertainment. After GP: Met TNT for the first time. Was going back to the hotel for an early night but ended up partying until after 3am. Still I enjoyed it, and the hotel staff let us drink our own drinks. Sunday: Too tired but managed the trip home after a detour to Burford and around Oxford. Watched the Pairs on TV. Glad I didn't waste my money. Overall a good weekend. Nice to meet my friends from the forum. Its the whole weekend that made it so good, not the GP. Looking forward to next year.

Cardiff Attendance
Joanne replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Even although money is tight this year, I wouldn't miss it for anything. Not the same in your armchair. The racing could be rubbish but who cares, its just the place, meeting old and new friends and the atmosphere. Getting excited now -

They shouldn't go routing in your bag anyway, you should empty it for them. That is what I have been taught. Best thing to do is buy a handbag with an umbrella section on the bottom and slide the bottle inside there -

How can I forget Those were the days when forum members all sat together. We are all split up now. Still, most of us are in the same hotel. I hope no-one snores

I am pretty sure I am in N1 but can't see the ticket to check. It is safely tucked away in the Garden of England where all the Southern Softies live.

We will put our 'Do not disturb ' signs outside our doors then, Shaz When I booked I thought the hotel didn't have a bar and it was only opened in Sep 05. But I have just seen this about the hotel: The Lodge Bar The relaxed and informal atmosphere of The Lodge Bar is the perfect place to unwind with colleagues, friends or family. The bar is open 24 hours to residents. -

If you can get to the bar after unsticking your shoes from the spilt beer on the floor and then managing to attract attention at the bar. They only serve big blokes -
What's gone wrong with Rickardsson? Brilliant stuff from Nicki or shall we call him Zippy Unlucky to make the finals. As for Greg, he should have won. By far the best rider, although suprising.
