  1. Well it's egg on someone: Panthers promoter Ged Rathbone has hailed the return of teenage prodigy Robert Lambert as a ‘massive boost’ ahead of two titanic Premier League tussles. Panthers travel to Scotland tomorrow (Friday) before welcoming the reigning champions to the East of England Showground on Sunday (5pm). Rathbone said: “It was obviously very disappointing for everyone not to have Robert available for the Fours. “Unfortunately he picked up an injury the previous night, but the treatment he received from our sports therapist Lauren Wood on Sunday, along with the further guidance given to him, appears to have done the trick. We are one of the only clubs in the country to be lucky enough to have a sports therapist to work with our riders and Lauren is a real asset to us. “Robert tells us the treatment has really helped and it will be great to have him back in action against Edinburgh. P'boro today There is bound to be disappointment that we are not seeing the full Peterborough team on Friday, and particularly that Robert Lambert won’t be there (surely the news has reached Edinburgh & someone can update that?) 2. It is now. I've just watched Alan Partridge upsetting the farmers regarding mad cow disease. It reminded me of you eating that baguette!
  3. That's true, he's more concerned about the lads getting a result at Rochdale
  4. Pirate FM News (nothing to do with Readypower's minor second team) used that last Friday. You need some new material instead of using others; no change there then
  5. You're just so Gareth Keenan aren't you. Rockets very own Team Leader after graduating from being team milk monitor
  6. The bikes do seem to have become more volatile since the new silencers were introduced. They may kill the noise but they also seem to kill the engine before it suddenly springs into life? When it's consistent power that's actually wanted.
  7. On the wrong thread, not that it matters aye spencebel: Interesting stuff ashtree123, on 02 Aug 2015 - 11:19 PM, said:
  8. The slack was given and taken up some time ago.
  9. - although she could have written it for him? I think that his agent must be Aidy Ward (Raheem Sterling's (of Liverpool/Man City fame) agent for those who don't know). What goes around comes around although you probably made it up: “The ‘keyboard warriors’ are sad people with big mouths and empty pockets. They are worthless. “We have fantastic supporters on the whole but the keyboard warriors just criticise us at every opportunity yet none of them were prepared to come to a fans’ forum and discuss things face-to-face. “We try to be honest with the fans and we’re prepared to listen to constructive criticism but I’ve no time for them.” peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/fans-forum-consistent-track-is-vital-for-panthers 2010
  10. It doesn't matter in the slightest at this time that's true because everyone's concern and thoughts should be for the injured rider: but don't confuse the issues of Lambert, the 4TT as a competition and where it goes from here? That's for another day though and on the wrong thread.
  11. Logic would agree that a complete break seems to be needed but only he will know if he can ride through it for another 2 or 3 months. Taking an unnecessary guest booking when he's already programmed in for Fri, Sun & Mon would suggest that he thinks that he can?
  12. We're told that he's struggling for fitness, which may be different from actually struggling for fitness which stops you riding. And before the Lambert posse get excited, that's not a go at him, just years of previous experience (with much bigger fish the Lambert) which tells us that the public communication can sometimes be a lot different from the reality of the situation. Riders often ride with injury throughout the season which means that they are not 100% fit and struggling for fitness, it comes with the job unfortunately.
  13. I think that someone must have hacked Tsunami's account? I see that he liked this weak post and I'd have thought that a self proclaimed success story would be better than that If it drops off the board then so be it, I'm sure that we'd cope.
  14. I can see that you're struggling now. Why not go and pollute the 4TT thread which is more relevant to what you're wittering on about. I'm not going Sunday so am not fussed what they do. They can only be illegal if the rules mean anything.
  15. Also the shape and size of the Peterborough circuit is down to Mr Howe as extensive work was carried out to bring the World Under 21 final to the Showground in 2001 if my memory serves me right?
  16. Everybody gets on everyone's wick at some point. If you want Fluffy Bunny then visit Facebook pages. I can appreciated that match threads get a bit heated and may cause the sort of reaction that you point out, but this is Panthers thread and your 3rd post on this page already. It's usually people who come on to our team threads posting tripe for a reaction who then think the problem is with us - I'd take a step back and think about that
  17. Only Ostrich I think but I'm not that interested tbh and the assets page that we once had left us in 2014 (moved to Poole allegedly?). Unless someone with vision buys Frost out then you're right on the first point (not that anyone in their right mind would by into the current BEL set up) and it's hard to disagree with the other two points. One big PL/NL league combo can't be too far away.
  18. My thoughts are that we just get this out of the way, return to the EL in 2016 and leave you lot to argue amongst yourselves as we host the event for the BSPA with no Panthers team interest, apart from someone probably using our riders? Otherwise, think that it's outlived its usefulness so I'd scrap it.
  19. You should get out more. In fact looking at those who agree, it reminds me of stevebrum & his posee in the caravan, perhaps he'll loan it out for the weekend (subject to BSPA guidelines of course).
  20. Good idea and thankfully spelt correctly. The only thing I know about spelling is that you don't spell "special" with a "ho"!
  21. I should have guessed I think that the phrase winning the battle but not the war springs to mind. More of a concern is what he's actually done? As far as speedway accidents go, his was reasonably innocuous.
