No, it'd be better if both adverts were positioned correctly on the boards in the first place. Shocking thing to say, but anyone who stayed away because of hoards of kids, good call I didn't -

Can't be any worse than the £5 offer last year under the supremo and then almost closure thereafter. -

A plus for the EL or being at Swindon but speedway at the EoES is actually worth the effort, roving mic as it's currently used, apart that is. No, that's correct. Plus if you're a hanger on to the group then you get a concession. The thinking is that the hardcore will turn up regardless on other nights whereas the kids might turn up again and bring a paying adult with them in future, or indeed turn into the future hardcore. It may work but history tells us that it's more likely tomorrow's chip paper. That offer and a tenner all round might have been better for this one but someone always has a gripe over something unfortunately; probably valid on most occasions I might add. -

Short of VIPs attending are they, just hand a ticket to anyone walking by. Let's hope FP doesn't walk by, that'd lower the tone considerably -

First point makes no difference so still no requirement to investigate part 2. Just try to imagine Edwin trying to tell you the line-up of the heat when the bike are already at tapes, totally pointless. It's probably better audio in the cheap seats? -

Firstly you can't hear anything when the PA kicks in (including often making sense of what's coming out of the PA). Secondly, my phone makes and receives calls, that's it. I don't play the can't bloody leave my expensive mobile entertainment centre alone for 2 minutes game Bet Canary Wharf man will not like that -

If they didn't turn out in their droves to watch a better show and better riders in the EL then the fact that we're a stepping stone for Lambert is going to make little difference. If he listens to Woffinden then he may not be riding the higher league next season (Higher League, you've got to laugh ) so hopefully some 6 fingered fans will also make the trip on your advice. Although can't people glimpse from elsewhere anyway should they so wish? Not that I'm advocating that of course: better live as I said. If only they could put the Sky feed through the PA during heat results, that'd be a real bonus (did it once in 1999 as we listened to The Knights blow the title (good quiz question) so it's not impossible). -

I'd imagine that most of those who went to Swindon for a fiver to watch the so called highest level of British Speedway felt ripped off on both counts In our case, it's the fine line between losing money and trying to get a crowd in. This looks the least painful option but will enable Pearson to say what a good job the promotion have done to get the hoards of kids in throwing rotten fruit at him. Not the best headine to post. Whilst it isn't wholly inaccurate, it's easy to come to the wrong conclusion: Free admission for the big TV fixture (local rag headline) SKY CLASH WILL BE KIDS PLAY! (Panthers website) -

It'll be better live and you get the chance to do a Basil Fawlty if there's an irritating kid near you who doesn't like the chips. -

Normal admission unless you can follow in an adult with a group of brats and say that you're with them -

I know, but unfortunately while the lunatics are in charge of the asylum then that's the way it will be. Always good to have the opportunity to remind people of Jason Crump & friends Tell us which forecast, looks one to avoid in future! -

Two full sides of each team's own riders would be news these days. Usually work fine for me. They do change throughout the day but so does the weather. It's already looking better than it was so think that they will probably get away with this. -

Didn't understand that either, and without knowing the detail, but for the falls and exclusion (and what sounds like a heat 15 easy get out home decision by the ref?) then we would probably have still nicked this. -
That's very true; so to get back on track, remind us what happend and remind us that this thread is not about Lambert, only in respect of his match winning performance: Newcastle Diamonds = 44 1. Lewis Kerr - 2 , F/X , 2 , 0 = 4 2. Anton Rosen - 0 , 3 , 2 , 0 = 5 3. Steve Worrall - 3 , 2 , 2 , 3 , 3 = 13 4. Christian Henry - 2' , 0 , 1' , 2' = 5+3 5. Ludvig Lindgren - 0 , 2 , 3 , 1 , 1 = 7 6. Simon Nielsen - 3 , 0 , 1 , 3 = 7 7. Lewis Rose - 2' , 1 , 0 , 0 , = 3+1 Peterborough Panthers = 46 1. Ben Barker (Guest) - 3 , 1 , 2 , 2' = 8+1 2. R/R for Lewis Blackbird - (SL - 1 , MPT - 3 , RL - 3 , SL - 0 = 7) 3. Robert Lambert - 1 , 3 , 3 , 3 , 2 , 2 = 14 4. Michael Palm Toft - 0 , 3 , 1 , 1 , F/X = 5 5. Ulrich Ostergaard - 2' , 2 , 3 , 3 , 0 = 10+1 6. Oliver Greenwood - 1 , 1' , 0 , (SL - 1') , 1 = 3+1 7. Simon Lambert - 1 , R , 3 , 1 , 0 , 1' , F/(OG - 1) = 6+1 (Withdrawn) speedwayupdates/newcastle-peterborough

zonkers liked your post, that's made my day already. I can't really compete with an ex "Panthers fan's viewpoint" (you'll need the programme or access to WWoS to get that) - I attend but am a pretender fan whereas the voice of experience last visited the EoES when? (since you mention closure, which is part due to lack of fan numbers) Certainly wasn't Friday so I can appreciate why she is empathetic to Lambert; although to you I don't understand Sorry for having a dig zonkers but it was self inficted
-
What, you mean pretender fans who've been going to Peterborough for twice as long as Lambert has been on this planet! Which one of us will be going to the EoES regularly in future years? I may moan but it's done in the best possible taste. It's not my fault that people don't listen. Nice tangent to the emotive to move away from the main topic to temp the "Like This" brigade
-
Hardly a sacking offence is it? Tempers run high as we see all too often on the box. Pedersen & Batchelor were split up in 2011. Oh to have been standing close to the fence when they came back in. "you are not aware of the full facts so i'd keep quiet until such time you are in possession of them." So those are the argument winning facts that Rodders wasn't aware of? Well that's cleared that up then: no case to answer! I would agree that but for the result it might not have been such an issue but King & Manzares turning up made sure that it became one, and Lambert needing to lose the Timeform availabilty squiggle for Panthers doesn't help.
-
They played that game long before Swales was promoter. Even though I'd never get a Christmas card from Swales, I'll have to defend him on that point. Our PR is pretty good under Swales & Rathbone so I'd look further back, but when did speedway, or anything much these days come to that, give you the full facts. An ex-promoter said to me that it's not what you say but the way that you say it. I think both elements need to be correct and that applies to fans, management, riders, advisors et al, as the last week has shown.
-
Now having a pop at me I can appreciate as I'm not the most diplomatic but when Noodles also thinks that you're a dick then that says much Lambert will do what his advisors tell him to do (he'll grow his own mind as the years progress) and Panthers promotion will not publicly rubbish arguably their best rider. It has nothing to do with moving on, neither party wants to pour petrol on the fire to reignite it although it'll be smouldering away for as long as Lambert is a Panther ie. for the rest of 2015,
