As I tell Luke Signwriter (private joke ) life is full of hangers on, it's not speedway specific! -

Ahh I see, if you'd been watching the big boys section you'd have realised what sort of response you'd get. It could be an interesting season? We have been with the common folk longer during our existence than with the big boys so we're quite at home, if not happy about how and why we got here. Will we be watching Darcy Ward, Tai Woffinden (you know, that World Champion bloke), Niels-Kristian Iversen, Hans Andersen etc? Inferior is in the eye of the beholder but I think that you have a point for 2014 at least. -

Don't think so, you're just using that as an example of why bcd might be an EL snob. -

I think you're misreading our situation and we don't expect to take anything by storm. -

It's not him you need to be asking: "Panthers chiefs are now working hard to fill the one remaining slot in their line-up. They have 7.77 points available to them." - who's doing the picking? -

Swings and roundabouts isn't it. Poole were really 2012 champions but Panthers seconds got oh so lucky in the TV play-offs. Not sure about happy (HNY to your good-self ) but still on track, let's see how it pans out -

Unfortunately not because that's the way it works. Don't think Sky were bothered tbh but Ford & the BSPA, that's a different matter! -

So Poole are not worthy EL champions because they only finished 4th over the whole season? -

We could call it the "Who's doing the hokey cokey now" challenge. -

Colin Horton did bring him here and he turned out never to be worth the risk. If someone else could get a season out of him then we would have been talking. -

Can't remember, he was like a yo-yo? Sounds familiar though on all sides: Panthers' bosses had feared Zabik could manipulate his average in their colours and then move on to the Pirates next year on a low mark. At the time of his sacking he was one meeting away from gaining a full average. -

His famous moment at Poole was this in 2006: Poole Pirates 36 1. Bjarne Pedersen 2,4!,3,1* = 10+1 2. Craig Boyce 0,0,2,0 = 2 3. Krzysztof Kasprzak 2,0,2,3,0 = 7 4. Greg Walasek 0,2,1*,3 = 6+1 5. Antonio Lindback 3,1!,3,2,1 = 10 6. Jason Doyle 1,0,0,0 = 1 7. Shaun Tacey 0,0,0,0 = 0 Peterborough Panthers 56 1. Hans Andersen 3,3,3,2,3,3 = 17 2. Ulrich Ostergaard 1,1*,1,1,1* = 5+2 3. Ryan Sullivan 3,3,3,1*,1* = 11+2 4. Niels K Iversen 1,2*,2,0,2 = 7+1 5. R/R 6. Richard Hall 2*,1,0 = 3+1 7. Karol Zabik 3,2,3,2,1*,2* = 13+2 Read more: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/1066/poole-peterborough-26th-july#ixzz2ohlzf3PA -

The reality is that if our lord and masters had had a clue over the last 10 or more years and not year on year built to the lowest common denominator then your expectations might be somewhat higher. What is it with Panthers? Haven't you got your own thread or do you p' off everyone on there as well! -

Links no but I have heard Pearson & co banging on every season about our potential WTC squad everytime Bridger, Howe,Stead, King etc etc win a race. You know the one's picking up tips from being around quality riders and having plenty of rides. They were EL/NL level in the beginning and are now solidly average. If your model for British speedway is cheap but International wilderness then good on you, you should join the BSPA. Yes a Havelock. Loram, Woffinden might come out of the woodwork but will the British speedway paying public be happy to subsidise it? Time will tell. -

With respect we've been there, done it and know how it works. The prospect isn't so much of an issue, rather the how and why although the majority will take what's on offer regardless. -

Technically no and I see that the Coventry ones have photo id so that would scupper it. If we're going down that route again then I'll give it a miss and pay as and when. The credit card style ST was progress and worked fine! -

ok I would say that they know what forums are like and those that use them are only a small minority of their crowd anyway so why anyone gets worked up I don't know.. They quote the good, don't read the negative or dislike what they do become aware of all in equal measure when it suits - that's the internet for ya Jeez I hope not, next step a Bager or Dryml. -

You're talking about British mentality kids here who think they've made it when they get a van with their name on the side, and extra practice would only take up valuable drinking time and talking to girls. Practice does not make perfect if they haven't got the real talent in the first place. Is the objective a WTC squad or EL full of British 6 pointers?
