  1. Used to be Plummer didn't it? Not sure if that's still the case but given the content I'd put 50p on that still being the case but wouldn't have him down for that sort of comment usually but perhaps if prompted then who knows? Probably The Messiah or whatever he's called today.
  2. While it's always good that people contribute and look at solution for problems it just deflects from the mess the club has made with this. When the EoES created such a problem and the club had to find solutions then everyone was on board and appreciative. If the club had just introduced BB parking areas outside because there were none before then people would be appreciative and on board. Looking for solutions for a club created problem made without particularly good justification, or seemingly making an attempt to solve the problems that they identified is the real problem here that gets forgotten. There is an an easy solution and if that doesn't work then the club could at least say that they tried as justification. I'm sorry if people feel that I''m a troublemaker or have an agenda. I'm never the most positive and I don't have an agenda (apart from fighting for our disabled fans) but I didn't start this.
  3. I saw that. I was going to ask for an explanation but it seems to have disappeared. Can you still see that reply?
  4. Educate yourself and you might make a valid contribution.
  5. So we had a no cost arrangement that worked fine and now people are looking for a time consuming, potentially costly exercise that needs contant organisation to compensate for the promotion's unnecessary attack on their disabled fans. Anyway, if H&S is such a concern then a shuttle service backwards and forwards around turnstiles and walkways has to be more dangerous than letting a few cars in. Also, the Dial-a-Ride bus was needed due to the EoES making a conscious decision, against the club's wishes, to severely restrict all vehicle access. Normal service was negotiated by the club and resumed as soon as possible.
  6. You don't talk to idiots Hodgy, here's what you do
  7. Not very bright are you? I said: And yesterday, hence replying to your dross:
  8. Who is the chap in the black jacket and do you have his e-mail? It's so kind of him to take you out and I'd like to send a note of thanks
  9. No, there's plenty of mileage in this, just keep posting. As Gustix says, there's a number of supporters out there who have no idea about this. It's not the sort of thing that hits the ET or BBC Radio Cambs so the affected non internet brigade are in for one hell of shock.
  10. When you have a system that works fine though and has done for years and gives the disabled their independence and control of their own situation, why remove that system without good reason to take away that control and single them out as disabled? Some might be happy with a lift and some may not but why create the problem. Peterborough has space not to create more work whereas I assume that Leicester does not.
  11. Not the best idea you've had Neil. That will get few signatures and they'll use it as ammo to say that they know of few dissenters to the club and their management shamefully removing the reasonable adjustments Peterborough Speedway has offered to its disabled fans over at least two decades or so. The club have kicked off in support of it's disabled fans in the past when the landlords have taken this action but the EoES have clearly washed their hands of this and the club definitely own this mess. If they were going to look at it again then they wouldn't have issued an official statement that made the situation worse. The idea of reasonable adjustments is that they level the playing field for the disabled. Without a very very good reason, if at all, you don't remove these adjustments to make a disabled person's life more difficult. If any organisation of worth looked at the club's reasoning I'd guess they'd say that it was weak to say the least and what did they do to address these access route and verbal abuse issues? Not having seen any action myself I guess that we'd struggle to answer the question. As boring as it may be for people wanting speedway news I guess I'm saying don't deflect from this thread as well. This needs to be kept high on the agenda and they need a plan c. I know that's not your intention but that's what another thread does.
  12. Agreed. Just signed in today and see that he's popped up with an introductory post and picture of the family but I still stuck him on ignore so will not see post 2 and beyond.
  13. Shame that ignores still open on the main page but it does remind me of something: Del Trotter - Can you smell that? What is that? Sheep is it? It's cows? No, no, I know what it is. It's bullsh*t!
  14. I found it amusing/sad that Mario Jirout liked the post of the statement on the club Facebook page - what's that all about
  15. With additional: People with hidden disabilities, including anxiety disorders or a brain injury, can apply for a Blue Badge for the first time from today (30 August 2019).
  16. Additionally there's no mention of measures that they took to deal with the issues raised, in fact they didn't with any recognised communication to those affected. Clearly they've dug a hole, unprecedented against their supporters by the club in it's 50 years, and then continued digging rather than see commonsense and do the right thing within the family sport that they claim to be a member of. How much effect this will have in the time the club has left at the EoES I don't know but the club, it's sponsors and associates need to be viewed in a different light now and this action must not be forgotten.
  17. Someone on Twitter seems to think that the current arrangements are the new arrangements so even if they do use social media then they're hard of thinking. The first meeting at 2pm Sunday should give a false impression as you suggest (usually always the best attended unless the club has success later in the season) but then they get to the bread and butter when their fanbase probably takes a consistent hit. As Mick bratley said in his final blog "People 'in the know' within the entertainment industry suggest that all Speedway clubs will lose 8% of their core support every year, through a variety of differing reasons." (And he won the EL) so we've consciously chosen to increase that percentage from the off by alienating our disabled fans and their associates..
  18. Ah bliss, but will it work when he changes to TheDwadandDosseroftheBSF?
  19. What a nauseating prospect. Thanks for keeping it going though, the promotion must love you.
  20. I guess that it's not anything to do with disability awareness? More like can I have fries with that
  21. Indeed and that's where TheMessiahOfTheBSF (Jed's brother ) looks a bigger ignorant loon than normal although that's his intention to get a reaction so job done I suppose.
  22. As we've real no real idea who really runs the ship or makes such decisions then it isn't really a surprise. Clearly what is a surprise is that they didn't try, that we know of, to deal with the points that you raised, and indeed they have identified themselves, before taking the nuclear option and alienating a section of their fan base, and wider society, that they seem happy to lose, as well as any associated revenue and knock on.
