  1. It wasn't the preferred option though to own 3 clubs but it was needed to save the league. So credit for that but the situation came about under his watch, which is another issue unless you think the sport was already in self destruct when he took the big chair? The big mess created is that he has to be hands off and each club needs to be seen to be equal and make their own decisions and any differences must not have the hand of Chapman. Given that our sport would struggle to hold a drinking competition in a brewery then that's an impossible circle to square!
  2. I'd take up any offer to be honest because looking at your assumptions I think joining the PDC is off the menu, you'd allegedly miss the board
  3. There must be a communications and diplomacy post going at the BSPA. You must be looking for working examples to copy into your CV
  4. The press release is quite clear that the explanation is financial (whether one believes that is a matter of choice but that's the reason given), which begs the question why it's taken a month to realise. That's hardly unforeseen.
  5. Either that or Diane Abbott is doing the accounts and Stanley Unwin the PR: "Now, as eve on his deep approach, his eye on the moon. Alltime sometime deept joy of a full moon scintyladen dangly in the heavenly bode. But now only half! So, gathering all behind him the hintermost, he ploddy-ploddy forward into the deep complicadent fundermold of the forry to sort this one out.”
  6. You've not been your usual forceful self Rodders. Ask it in a different way as I usually know you then you might get a result. Then again, best just let it run its course Neil usually comes on pretty quick when on safe ground but he might have said all that he needed to say and there is nothing to see here which is fair enough. Time will tell whether there is a fire under the smoke.
  7. Transparency and stickabilty, not usually attributes of our sport so we await Neil's speedy response.
  8. We're used to that (well some of us). When Frost was in charge we regularly had two tractors going round. It's not a problem if the meeting is run efficiently and it does away with the interval because it provides a natural break (in fact 4 or more) for people to sort themselves out. Problem being at that time was that neither of those things happened and tractor racing was just another gripe to add to the list when it didn't need to be.
  9. I refer you to the two previous answers from my learned colleagues.
  10. Wasn't expecting much and you didn't disappoint
  11. It just needs to be efficiently and consistently run. Remember when Sky were in town, apart from the introduction and 5 minutes + wait for the first race, that was generally how to do it. Now at the EoES we can see how BT compares as a guage. Thankfully Trees isn't in charge of presentation at our place
  12. Quality response from the customer service department
  13. And kids hanging on the fence for high 5s on the victory lap before presentation and atmosphere went to pot and Mercer arrived and he and the H&S looneys got a grip.
  14. Never mind, next year then God willing. As for plain english: "There is no truth in the rumour that Peterborough speedway will be sold before the season starts. Ged and I will be in charge throughout 2019 under current ownership and the team will be as named subject to BSPA ratification as previously indicated." That's as plain as it gets for me and meets my approval. You've said your piece though so that's the end of that
  15. Probably a reaction to you offering season greetings to Rodders after the grief he gives you whereas I didn't even get a card
  16. Not the most convincing post that I've ever read. I'm a plain english man myself and that's stumbled over the finishing line
  17. If it got up a real head of steam then he might respond (but for such big issues it's odds against) or there might be some reference elsewhere from management but we're some way from that as it stands. A couple of people who think that they know something is just chip paper atm!
  18. And some people just think that you throw together the rubbish that you generally post? Don't stop going your own way with some second hand news!
  19. Need a bit more than one nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more squire, post. I'd heard the same but that's as far as it goes during the silly season. Always thought that it would have been good for the Balfe Motorsport Team to have an ownership dabble in the world of shark infested custard. It'd be good publicity in theory!
  20. Dunno. Who said that there's a takeover proposed?
  21. You're irritating but don't yet have the special talent to warrant the ignore fuction.
