  1. Sponsors would be under the Rathbone administration so would need to strike a new deal if they wished to continue, but that's gettimg ahead of ourselves Rodders
  2. One of life's great mysteries. Great gate from Andersen to take Kołodziej out of the race so probably Hancock feared the same although you'd think that he'd at least gate with Andersen. Probably Hancock thought that he could take care of Sullivan? Whatever the reason it all went pear shaped for the grin, or Hancock as he was called at that time
  3. Rathbone said last year that the EoES would only deal with him due to previous issues (not moneybags Rick so it's not rocket science to work out who else) so you'd assume that it'd need to be someone new and reliable. As Horton said: “This club needs another Rick Frost and Julie Mahoney, people with the finances to make it work.”
  4. They've given no indication of not wanting speedway that we've been told about anyway. Logically if Rathbone doesn't get a buyer then Saturday (or last Sunday in my case) will be the last speedway at the EoES, so for old times sake: Peterborough Panthers 2006
  5. Didn't Neil Watson say that if more dates were needed then he was confident that they could be found but we didn't need to ask for them in 2018.
  6. Theoretically it's an option but practically with nimbyism a bigger issue these days more than ever, development potentially an ever growing threat and the EoES landlords who would use the main ring for other things and wouldn't bother about the return of speedway, I doubt that the licence would ever need to be thawed out unless a new venue is found.
  7. Been problems for nearly 20 years but I've just been looking at PCC LP36 and the timing of the effects of that will decide when speedway isn't wanted any more. But as 4/5 years ago, there is no flexibility for a year out. If it finishes it finishes for good.
  8. If they were equal partners then that'd be ok. Wouldn't need to buy any fireworks that's for sure, there'd be plenty of natural ones
  9. Don't disagree and you answered your own question.
  10. Not known for my sense of humour on here but you never know. Anyway, time will tell, it may be as reported so no problem with that. I dislike 8 miles round the ringroad so 6 hours travelling would break me.
  11. Never saw that coming. It's called speedway's equivalent of insider dealing would be my guess.
  12. Normally we do but I'm not sure how many lives we've got left. This was the sustainable level that was allegedly, for many, our saviour but we are indeed here again after 2 shocking crowds for important meetings. I'm sure that the story will grow though.
  13. You've more interest in it and know more than me so fair enough. More worrying (and somewhat coincidental for any conspiracy theorists) is that Rathbone has just thrown in the towel at the EoES.
  14. Without any detail then why is that worrying? The directors might have the right agenda.
  15. If Frost/Mahoney (who gave us 5 top quality years of expensive entertainment despite the lack of success) hadn't saved us from Colin who saved us from Mick in the first place if my memory serves me right, then we'd probably have been closed down anyway. Seems that you don't remember that?
  16. Please be upstanding. Isn't there a phrase "it couldn't get any worse"
  17. At the moment though it's Panthers select with question marks. Nobody's fault, although somewhat compounded by the BWD gamble that has gone a bit pear shaped when it mattered. If you'd been watching Panthers over the last few meetings you'd see that their concerns are well founded.
  18. Guests are hit and miss at any time, we know that. Always have been and always will be, especially at this level. Just trying to earn some money as opposed to riding for your team with your team mates must be a different kettle of fish.
  19. And all things that we couldn't do anything about. Everyone knows that Lambert scores points at 6 or 7 so where's the surprise there. The first part is tosh, so quite appropriate, but based on that the last sentence makes little sense.
  20. Johnson confirmed Panthers have been forced into a change of number one guest for the home clash. He revealed their initial selection Thomas Jorgensen has dropped out with Scunthorpe man Steve Worrall being drafted in. Johnson added: “It’s disappointing not to have Thomas as he has ridden well in his guest bookings for us. “But he feels that by taking the meeting tomorrow he would not have sufficient time to prepare his machinery for King’s Lynn play-off final in the SGB Premiership on Monday night.
  21. Nobody bit on the Redcar thread so I'll leave you to make 5 out of 2+2 unless you have something more concrete that you wish to share. One thing that I did notice is why the Europress banner on the back straight fence has been covered up with a T Balfe banner?
  22. No idea, but why would it be? Went in one ear and out of the other, like most of the invisible interviews. It'd be nice these things could be seen rather than just popping up out of nowhere.
