Has he been found On a bargain average, never hung round long enough to get a new one

I thought that everyone kept stum prior to the AGM because if they get wind of the wrong people doing a deal then they change the rules or create a new one. Seems people never learn, if that's what's happened here or is a consequence of? Rathbone's made a big play of the importance of Sunday crowds so going more irregular to fit someone in could be a logistical and financial mistake IMO.

Why do people keep putting Holder in their team? Irrespective of the lack of options they'd need their head testing and I'm sure that they are well aware of that.
-
Was a bit of let down generally and I don't think that we saw the best of him. Whether he's a loss depends on who fills the gaps and I doubt that overall it'll be better.

And you're bothered because?

4s on your own circuit (which was still an achievement to be fair given events of the run up and on the day) and a cup victory which even the team manager admits was somewhat lucky, even if you can only beat the depleted bunch in front of you, and they struggled to do that at the EoES. Perhaps a better indicator is the back end of 2013 compared to 6th in the 2017 lower tier and another will we run wont we run few months? Let's see what the way forward is when reported from this evening. Wouldn't recommend it, you'd probably be following one of those interceptors in their unmarked cars and they wouldn't see the funny side

Yes but that happened 4 years ago. Frost made sure that Horton or the club never got near that valuable at the time asset base.

I think that the loud PA system (that is when they've found the volume dial) must have affected your ears -
Maybe but why add to the problem.

Lambert is a 6 or 7 at best if he has to be shoe horned in along with Ostrich. Reserves win matches and those named wouldn't. Wells is ok though but generally looks a bit of a desperate side tbh. Cost cuttiing.

No idea. I just watch it and moan a bit these days without knowing too much of the detail. Can't remember whether I've seen who Andersen is riding for in 2018, whether he's doing Poland or whether he'd be allowed in the lower tier?

Now we know where the idea for Viz Top Tips came from. Here's a couple: "MOTORISTS: When going through a speed camera, flash your lights twice quickly and watch the driver in front hit his brakes when he thinks he's been caught." "DRIVERS: Avoid getting prosecuted for using your phone while driving. Simply pop your mobile inside a large shell and the police will think you are listening to the sea." Always chasing second or third due to inability to get out of the start. Havent seen anything to suggest that that has changed.

Wouldn't put money on any of them to win a race.

I've got a good throw but 8 miles is a bit too much.

Many buy season tickets without knowing what they are getting anyway. If you're going to the forum tomorrow then that'd be an interesting question to put forward seeings as season tickets get a mention in the website news item. Your focus would be going forward as they set out but you need some clarification regarding the old ground. Also you want to be careful how you label people on t'net. Your description of Holder reminds me of Alan Partridge: "The Queen is dead, long live the Kings' Singers. We've had several calls during the last few hours about a humorous comment I made. Just to reassure you, the Queen is not dead. It was a humorous intro into a song, which has been taken too literally by one or two listeners, and a newspaper. So just to repeat, Queen Elizabeth Il is not dead. Unless she went in the night and is yet to be discovered by the maid."

All fixtures are fluid so what might seem ok at first can soon become a problem. Nobody is doubting his ability but we've been a stepping stone once and if they really want to focus on the future then it's time to draw a line.

I didn't say that there wasn't any evidence. I said clear evidence or evidence in the public domain. The SCB probably think that admitting that there was a conversation is actually important, further evidence or not, and they need to get to the bottom of it. The BSPA look after their own and only go after the easy targets, allegedly. However, I suspect the SCB is just another layer of inaction to make people think that something is being done before the same conclusion is reached.
-
All that's been agreed is that a conversation took place. I'm sure if it was that cut and dried then that would have happened to Godfrey. Unfortunately the only thing that there is clear evidence for, or is in the public domain at least, is for what Rathbone did, hence the punishment.

Carpet and brush on standby.

That's true and one way of looking at it.

Didn't do much good though did it, they finished 6th. We never get it right from the off but this'll be the first season for a decade or more that Swales hasn't had an input so it'll be interesting to see if that was a factor or whether the management team just aren't very good at it? Sentiment over logic?
-
Rathbone said on the mic that he was just an ordinary bloke without lots of cash, or something similar, so that tells you much of what you need to know. To then come out with: "We're already working hard to put together the best possible team that our resources allow." just clarifies it a bit further. Having said that, apart from the Holder cock up he didn't do too bad last year so I wouldn't be overly concerned at the moment although I might be if they shoehorn Lambert in.
-
No idea who you're talking about as you've gone into BSPA mode. It's a fine line though.
-
Hopefully. It was like having a 6 man team.
