They have every right to be p'd off. I know I would be but I don't have a solution. Hopefully other clubs will take a rider who is doing their job but became as casualty because of others who weren't (didn't that happen to Ashley Morris under Rathbone?). Put yourself in the position of the promoter who's paying the bills and probably losing money. What would you do? It's just an unfortunate situation and not compatible with the compensation culture.

Do the job that you've been brought in to do and you'll be fine. As has been said, if not then you could be out. If you don't think that you can meet those requirements then don't buy the equipment and don't sign the contract. If you choose to but it doesn't work then whose fault is that? The club and fans seem pretty loyal to those doing the job expected.

It's looking pretty grim at the moment so unless Rathbone is just about to pull a rabbit out of the hat then it would be remiss not to look at it again. Just make sure that you get advice in writing. There are no excuses these days. If advice/decisions can be given verbally then they can just as easily be given electronically. If the person giving the advice will not put it in writing then I'd steer well clear to avoid potential future problems.

I thought that everyone kept stum prior to the AGM because if they get wind of the wrong people doing a deal then they change the rules or create a new one. Seems people never learn, if that's what's happened here or is a consequence of? Rathbone's made a big play of the importance of Sunday crowds so going more irregular to fit someone in could be a logistical and financial mistake IMO.
