  1. So is Lassie according to rumours. Wasn't there a some Crump 2000 merchandise in the track shop? I bought a calendar I think it was. Another example of believe nothing at this time of year.
  2. That was a clear enough statement and if you were moving up then you'd announce that before any forum. There's no logic to moving at this time so something fairly dramatic would had to have happened quickly behind the scenes for that to happen. Frost said in Oct 2013 that financial losses were not a concern and before the ink had dried it was reported that financial losses were to close the club - funny old world innit!
  3. Might as well all go NL then, cheaper all round. Probably on the AGM agenda anyway as speedway's well on the way to that model.
  4. Not always but on speedway's ongoing race to the bottom and Panthers direction it would seem so.
  5. Who's saying that they shouldn't progress? It's the structure to enable that progress that is the problem. So the dumming down continues if you have your way. I don't see any riders coming through who wouldn't have come through a 70s, 80s, 90s structure. What British speedway future do you envisage? Lack of quality and £10 admission objective by the looks of it.
  6. That's very true but the stability that needs sorting out is so that the annual will we won't every winter doesn't exist. It never used to be so that at the end of each season the quote is "if we're running next year" - In this case though, as the sponsors are on board for 2 years then you'd hope that the picture is clear after the last chequered flag at the EoES in 2017.
  7. With a different track surface every meeting he'd be great entertainment though on the mic and at least make one of the over used interviews interesting.
  8. Shame that never came true. Another season treading water; same time next year!
  9. I beginning to think that you and jenga are related.
  10. I'd imagine that they jumped ship because it was cheaper and less hassle to jump on the back of someone else's success. It's not really achieving their aim though as who remembers sponsors is like who came second. I just think that they were out of their comfort zone with some of the paying punters but it was nothing that couldn't have been put right with the right people in place. They had class but probably not on your level which is different to no class.
  11. I think that they cared or they wouldn't have bought it in 2008 or wasted their time and money for 5 somehow potless seasons. They just didn't seem to get the fan side of it quite as much as GR does, that's all, and let Bratters go who would have continued to bridge that gap for them. The current silence is very much in keeping with previous seasons though as Rodders would no doubt confirm so it's a bit same as tbh.
  12. No chance of that when the life expectancy of a promoter at the Arena Bank is a couple of years; or less if it's the supremo! When Frost/Mahoney walked then any chance of stabilty went AWOL as well.
  13. Hasn't that always been the case though? If you don't pick the logical team with decent management in the first place and then mess about doing nothing until it's too late then dodgy Dorset doings are unavoidable. With rain forecast today I suspect that a new rule will appear stating that if the meeting is called off at any time (even before it starts) with the Pilates in the lead on aggregate then the result stands.
  14. Well if that's aimed at me then after the last 3 years I love Poland, despite allegedly voting BREXIT. I don't like the word Sunday either but wouldn't have gone there in the first place.
  15. if you want clarity then you're definitely on the wrong thread, especially if you want thinking included.
  16. Nearly as scary as stalking Rathbone "So Berwick will consist of every rider that Rathbone has sacked?"
  17. Ol' 2 posts clearly has an agenda Rodders so I'd ignore it. We know that the only known thing about Peterborough Speedway is that no bugger ever knows anything,
  18. 15+1 from reserve and have you actually looked at who he beat? I thought that he was happy with his new era? It's me who wants to return to the cherished EL. We'd then have to put up with stevebrum and steveO, but to lose our Ippo colleagues, jenga and your good self it's an acceptable trade off.
  19. He was on Panthers asset list, along with the rest, which disappeared along with the owner it would seem before forming Dorset Panthers. Whether they were a separate item when Frost took or just separated for the failed Horton lease we'll never know.
