  1. It's overcast now (hour on from previous post) and not very nice tbh. Met Office says no rain but if you didn't know that you then you'd probably think rain was a distinct possibility.
  2. Although it's bright this morning it's not drying weather and there are still wet patches on the ground. Moving tons of wet shale from the big EOES circuit would be a major job this morning. If fans want to waste their time watching 20 people standing on the first bend for 15 mins before the meeting is called off at 2.45 then good look them. Rathbone made a difficult but sensible decision and gets crucified for it. You can't win with speedway fans unless it's the latest hurricane that halts the meeting.
  3. Yup I'm already there awaiting my breakfast in the members' enclosure from 8am The East of England Show is no longer a serious agricultural event (you Ippo boys will know that now that you don't need to chug along the A14 in your tractor convoy these days: 10-4 good buddy, fueltaps the head Bobtail), so clay perhaps but no.2 there was no need. The only bull' is anyone who thinks calling this off was Rathbone's preferred option based on organisation, time and expense it has taken to schedule this fixture in the first place. If it had been fine yesterday then I'd have agreed with you but am prepared to give the benefit of the doubt. However, the biq question mark is that with a 2.30 start there is surely plenty of time to get the track stripped and relaid to a raceable state this fine morning? That's the communication that's missing even though not many on this thread would believe whatever was said, but if it's in any way to do with access or associated then that would be kept behind close doors anyway. You'd think that's how it works but with the pressure off and Pedersen on a charge I think 9 or below is where FF will finish in 2016
  4. Added to that we don't know how much time the EoES have allowed us on track today or tomorrow morning and that'll never be said in public. So if you add those things together I doubt that there's anything fishy about it. I think that they should have waited until the morning, the BSF meltdown would have been good Sunday entertainment,
  5. He's been at the dressage today Rodders and the fumes from the dung will have played havoc with his thought process so you need to make allowances.
  6. Would make the splash screen on the website look pretty silly if he isn't so I'd say that you're correct.
  7. Memory also going and comedy delusions, it's more serious that I thought doctor. Anyway, back on track, Sunday's weather looks spot on with a bit of natural watering on Saturday that may help or hinder.
  8. Certainly will not apply to Rathbone. Seems to be well happy with the affordable pricing structure so no1 cheerleader could well do that, but just in case anyone wishes to print a racecard, that line-up will be re-jigged to put a spanner in the works and scupper your attempt
  9. Don't tell them that. Spot the underdressed newbie is part of the complete entertainment package
  10. Depends which side of him one chose to stand: the right side or the other side
  11. And the winner of the guess the Panthers riding order competition wins a Morrisey Fan mug.
  12. That's the part Panthers Readypower management team forgot and seems to be a similar issue under the current management team!
  13. Readypower Panthers had top notch Darren Fletcher (now of BT sport fame) :doesn't get much more expensive than that I guess. That never saved them. Good point about the PA. That's one thing Frost's promotion never seemed to address whereas the Rathbone/Swales combo seemed to have managed to get a great sound system installed. I used to moan like hell under the Frost promotion mainly because of the awful inconsistent sound system. These days though you can her everthing clearly and even the interviews are not irritating: less is good though. The music was well acceptable on Monday, as it tends to be most times at the EoES these days, apart from when Cook wins a race!
  14. After a decade of failure, our existence being in question several times and a loss of status, it's been hard to have a full glass as a Panthers supporter. Being reactive is indeed better than not, but being proactive would be preferable don't you think so we don't fizzle out early.
  15. If the management team had been so smart then we wouldn't still be scrapping for a play-off place would we. I still think that they are overall doing grand job and put on a good show (if somewhat lengthy at times) but the same team issues crop up and here we are with the end of season calculator to the fore. Poole's latest asset I believe.
  16. Doubt that they'd be up to it in any term. The changes were made so as not to get mullered if we made the play offs, but even if we do then I'm not sure that half a team will change that, despite Bjerre and Thomsen being an improvement.
  17. I was looking at the EoES yesterday thinking how impressive it looks as a British speedway circuit. It's hard to think that a league can be thought of as top when it's best assets are elsewhere, much like our riders (that's the snidey bit for those who like the barb at the end - not you Trees )
  18. If Ged really is the messiah then I hope that he take us back to the EL for a better quality idiot on our theads. Unfortunatetly the resident looney is part of that package but that's an acceptable trade off
  19. Jeez, we've been lacking commercial competence, the resident looney is the new Bratters. Expect Morrisey Fan to appear on this list (club officials) anytime soon
