Here we are talking about the end of season play-off's in mid-August. Whatever happened to the good old days when we could carry on watching our favourite sport until the end of October!! -

Didn't see you Maureen, which is unusual. I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting, even the MDL match too. Yep, a very good night out. -

Is the weather forecast okay for Leicester tonight. Having seen Stoke is off, I don't fancy a wasted journey. -

The rain has now started in Heacham. It's not that heavy, and at the moment there is the odd break in the sky, so fingers crossed. -

The worthwhile collection boxes for Lewis, could be placed by the entrance, programme sales table, bar, café and track shop, then there would be no need for an interval. No parade is needed, and referee to put the 2-minutes on the moment the previous race has finished. Races happen that quickly in the British Youth Championship along with the various Amateur Meetings up and down the country, so it's time it happened in our domestic leagues. -

I've not been following things for a few days, but why wasn't this meeting staged on our usual Wednesday night? -
Whoever wins, I'm surely it will be a highly entertaining evening, hopefully without sun delays, and with a referee who keeps his finger on the 2-minute button. It's a long journey back home for any Eastbourne supporters who make the trip, and they deserve to get back to Sussex at a reasonable hour.

Southern Track Riders - Sunday 2nd August - Rye House

Thanks for posting that Bryn, it's much appreciated. Come on folks, stop squabbling. After the events of yesterday at Peterborough, there are far more important things in life, rather than disputes over various postings. -

Did Zach Wajtknecht defend his Bronze Helmet? -
Yeah, one person did an awful lot of damage at Romford too, and now of course we have that one family at Mildenhall causing mayhem.

It's already been called off due to the expected bad weather. Such a shame, as I've been looking so forward to travelling down.....or is it up.......or is it across, to this meeting. Last year I saw practically every round (this year circumstances have prevented me attending any up to this point), and it was some of the best racing I saw at any level.............blooming summer weather!!

WHAT!!!!!! How on earth can this happen, when you get all that noise from the motorcross or whatever is going on at the back of the car park?

Kings Lynn Vs Belle Vue : Wed 23rd July
Mimmo replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There is I'm afraid. 24th October 2012 here at King's Lynn when we hosted the Mildenhall v Dudley (Play-Off Final). Heat 15 saw the two riders involved in an incident with each other, which going from memory, Roynon either suffered a serious knee injury or broken leg, I can't remember which. -
Mildenhall V Rye House Sun 19th July 1530 Start
Mimmo replied to iand's topic in National League Speedway
I have to agree Alan. Kent & Rye House have been the worst tracks in the country for a while with their infamous blue line, but unfortunately, these past few weeks Mildenhall has become far worse than either of those two. I don't know if that responsibility is down to the promoter or the stadium owner, but it needs to be sorted quickly, because attendances appear to be taking a bit of a dip, and who can blame them when it's taking three and a half hours to get through the meeting. -
My apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but if it has, I haven't come across it. I know we at King's Lynn had a collection for Rory Schlein, as did his Swedish club. It's of course something that usually happens when a clubs rider gets injured, and deservedly so. However, the magnificent gesture by Lakeside supporters, mustn't go unmentioned, following their £750 presentation made to our stricken Aussie at King's Lynn last night. Well done 'Hammers' fans.
