  1. I'm afraid you would have had no choice, as they disappeared into the night, with security guards in place.
  2. I also accept your apology Morrissey Fan, but once the anger has left me, I'll probably return and use my Readmission ticket next season, because the programme says I can, so I'll put it to the test. If it's not honoured next year, then I'll take legal advice. There are obviously reasons why money can't be refunded on the night (I know some clubs do, but maybe they are breaking the rules), and lets face it, that could lead to violent/armed robberyif the wrong people knew there was substantial cash laying in an office. So I think it's time that either the Leicester promotion, or the BSPA issued an official statement, on the rights andwrongs of what happened last night.
  3. Jeez, I'd forgotten all about his homework, so maybe I'd better apologise to him. Hope his mummy doesn't read the naughty things he's been writing, otherwise it'll be bed without any tea.
  4. Law is one thing, abiding by it is another, and as they don't seem to know what the rules are that are clearly printed in their own programme, then it doesn't give you confidence to think they will abide by the law. I just hope for all concerned, them and us, that this reaches a satisfactory conclusion, and that we can forget about it, and get back to enjoying our speedway.
  5. I find your comment very offensive as I'm a speedway fan and not a fool, and I would ask you to apologise for that. I'M STILL WAITING PLEASE.
  6. I've just received the following message via the Messenger service. Hello Mike, sorry for the confusion. Please send your tickets to Leicester Speedway, 1 The Lions, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, LE4 1DZ. Regards, Linda I'm afraid I don't know who Linda is.
  7. Yes you're right, it was the man next to David Darcy, but he can't be one of the promoters as only Mr Darcy and the arrogant Neil Machin are named on the page where the infamous 'Terms & Conditions' are listed in the programme. If speedway fans are fools then why are you wasting your time reading about us and commenting too. I find your comment very offensive as I'm a speedway fan and not a fool, and I would ask you to apologise for that.
  8. No 'Terms & Conditions' as Mr Darcy kept mentioning, clearly state that the tickets can be used next season, even though he said not. Trouble is, if Neil Machin continues to be part of the set up, then there probably won't be a Leicester Speedway season next year, so the tickets couldn't be used then anyway. As for getting money back, I don't think there is a cat in hells chance, because we don't know where to send them, nor does Mr Darcy (co-promoter) after changing his mind. I asked where the Speedway Office was, and I was told it was in the bar.......WHAT!! If it was in there, I couldn't see it amongst the crowds of Leicester supporters moaning about the way they were conned. I'd booked and stayed in a Premier Inn at Leicester last night, so have only just got home, so that was £64 down the drain too. I realise that of course was my choice, so no blame could be put on Leicester Speedway for that, as of course neither could the postponement. It's just the total couldn't care less attitude of their management that's let them down big time. So if anybody does find out where we send our tickets to, and presumably that will have to be by recorded post, then please post the details on here, and I will do the same. In the meantime, Leicester Speedway can be reaping in the interest from OUR money.
  9. We've been lied to and decived by the Leicester promotion, and I hope that the BSPA as a body clarify matters. Leicester Speedway have refused to refund any cash tonight, saying that we must use them for the reststaging or any of the next two meetings, as they only have three left. Alternatively, we can send them in for a cash refund. When asked David Darcy said to write to the stadium for a refund. Neil Machin then appeared on the scene, and the moment he was put on the spot, he took the cowards way out, and walked away, what a way to treat his paying public!! Fair play to Mr Darcy, he stayed to continue facing the many irate fans. But then what let him down was the fact he changed his story and said we must send our tickets to the BSPA office for a refund. He was continually asked why we couldn't have a refund there and then, and all he would say was "terms and conditions". It was pointed out to him that no terms and conditions were printed on the tickets or at the stadium entrance. Mr Darcy then said that terms and conditions were in the programme, of which you don't purchase until after you've entered the stadium, and not everyone buys a programme anyway. The programme actually says you can use the tickets next season too, but not according to Mr Darcy!!!! It was pointed out to him, and I know this to be true, that some clubs refund money as you leave, but he didn't or wouldn't believe us saying it was against the sports policy. He then disappeared into the night, leaving a few hundred people bewildered, not knowing what to do. I've always been full of praise for Leicester Speedway on all my previous postings over the past couple of years, but they've let themselves and the sport they represent down, not least us the paying public, and they should be brought to task for tonight's behaviour.
  10. Jeez, you deserve to replace Laura on Breakfast TV. Thanks for posting that anyway
  11. I always enjoy my visits to Leicester Speedway, and tonight is no different. You guys did well at Belle Vue last night, so congratulations for that, and I'm sure you'll test us to the full this evening. What's the local weather forecast like for your area, as the BBC one doesn't sound that brilliant, yet Shale Searcher suggests possibly otherwise?
  12. I think they are at home against Berwick on the 4th August, and Workington on the 11th August, with a match against Northside with a date still to be confirmed. However, I'm sure Cubsforever will confirm one way or the other for you/us.
  13. I'm glad you've confirmed that, as did Geoff Hayes at Halifax. It's just that the referee says it wasn't!!!!!
  14. Just home from Cardiff and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Radio 1 DJ and meeting presenter was total pants though, he even looked like a fish out of water. Can't wait for next years event to come round now.
  15. I think you're racing at Newcastle in August, and Mildenhall in September aren't you?
  16. They came out in support of their team well didn't they. I had three guys next to me, and they were real gentleman with not a nasty word to say about anything or anybody.
  17. I honestly can't remember seeing a better meeting at any level in this country, this season. Swindon v Leicester early last month was a bit special, but didn't quite produce the intensity of last night. Congratulations to both teams for providing such a spectacle, and once again, all those people who won't give National League racing a try, were the losers.

  19. I'm certainly not picking on your club 'pete cc'. Cradley didn't cancel the meeting and deprive your riders of a pay packet, but gifting you 4-points is the wrong decision, and I'm sure you'd agree with that. Mildenhall should have been deducted points, and maybe a reduced admission given for the restaging (which of course won't happen now) of the meeting. This would help compensate the many people (so I'm told) that arrived, completely unaware of the situation. Speedway must get it in it's head, that not everybody uses social media for varying reasons. I think every club in the league should unite and appeal over this crazy, crazy decision. It doesn't matter what way you look at it, it's not fair on anybody.
  20. ABSOLUTE FARCE, this sort of decision does nobody any good.
  21. Is anybody truly optimistic it will ever happen? That's not a sarcasm, but a question.
  22. Your going to be mighty thirsty, you'll have to buy bottled water for many years to come. I used to live in Surrey, and Thames Water are about as reliable as Anglian Water.
  23. Very good rmc, trouble is that if the car park was as good as that, there would be no cause for complaint!!
