Excellent Thanks again. -
Hopefully the Aussies (my second choice after GB) but I expect Poland to walk it.

Whilst I'm of the opinion you should always field the strongest side, that's not Danny King's problem, I don't know if Rico would have done better, but King had a go, and he did a lot more than I expected tonight. Well done lad, you should be proud of your efforts tonight and I'd love to see you given another chance on Thursday. All the GB boys tried, although Kennett was disaappointing I have to say. Let's give Lyon a chance - time will tell if he's got the right idea.. but as for the riders, they showed a lot of fight and determination and all looked proud to be representing their country. That'll do for me until we have a genuinely competitive team. Superb meeting, by the way. Heat 20 was an absolute stunner! -
So how are the Aussies lining up now then.. Crump, Holder, Leigh, Watt and Sullivan? Or is Adam Shields in? Either way a good line-up and barring anything untoward, certs for at least 2nd, should be interesting with Poland..!

World Cup - Event 1

That's how I saw the situation. Laguta never looked for Nicki so there was no malice yet did seem to leave him little room - but that's racing. Could have gone either way.. but Nicki can't say the referees are against him now Oh my Enjoyed the meeting. Some good racing, close scores and a totally unexpected result. Good stuff, the only downer being Nicki P pulling out, made the meeting poorer IMO and I wish him a speedy recovery. As for the crash, I have to say that whilst the reserve system is open to serious abuse, it is something that needs looking at. Nicki's carted off in an ambulance after a bad crash and Denmark have to run with no rider? Might be the rules, but that's poor IMO. As for the Russians, just what do you say. Sayfutdinov as you'd expect was brilliant, the rest all did a great job in backing him up. Once again "Laguta the Scooter" (copyright Tony Millard ) impressed me but he wasn't the only one. Had a decent team but somehow they pulled together and were the best on the night and it was a fully deserved victory. Saturday should be interesting indeed and the Danes and Swedes going to the race-offs is a simply mouth-watering prospect when the Aussies or Poles will be there aswell, barring anything untoward. -

We were top tier in the middle of the back straight too and I'm with you on this one.. the rider names etc were alright (although when you're looking at a programme you know what's coming anyway and I wasn't listening for the times) but the interviews were awful, the music was crap quality (although from what I did hear that may be a good thing ) and Killer Queen could have been brilliant or abysmal for all I know. Had a fantastic view though -

Upper tier back straight for us and it was the same -
Change of plan now as my dad's decided we're going, so we've just booked our tickets, loved it last year so can't wait

Emil, class once again. With more experience, there will be no stopping this guy. He really is something special, a one-off without a doubt. 2 GPs at 19? Superb, congratulations to him. Congratulations to Crump also, and Lindback who I was pleased to see have a good round, glad he's back as he was, and still is a really special talent. The Brits.. what do you say. Bomber had a good go and to be fair, was caught out and a little unlucky at times. But Nicholls was just something else. Not sure how much longer he can carry on in the GPs like this. One gifted point, sorry but it's just shocking. As for the Pedersen exclusion, at a first look I said Nicki, but I do think Emil turned on him a bit. Had to laugh at Nicki though, big one in Copenhagen, "yeah I'll probably get excluded there too though" -

Track wasn't great, GP got better as the night went on but generally a poor meeting. The less said about the Brits, the better. Was very, very impressed with Lindgren. Had a cracking start to the season over here and has come on a lot since last year. Didn't expect that kind of performance from him, fair play to him Sayfutdinov. Wow. Heard all about the guy obviously but not seen enough of him to have formed a proper opinion and certainly not against this field. What a rider, absolutely class. Love his style and he had so much speed, imagine what he'll be like with a bit more GP experience. Can't wait for the next one already to see him race again. -

Nobody's not getting behind Bomber, but simply being realistic about why he's been included. -

This sentence sums up what is wrong with how riders are picked for the GPs. Holder didn't qualify and bad luck or not, he didn't get through when he could have. However, to place him below Harris is madness, yet Harris gets the nod. Holder could probably have got one if the Aussie GP was going ahead. As it isn't, having 3 Aussies is pointless to whoever's made this decision. -

Not sure the inclusion of Harris is a good decision but hardly surprised. The other 3 are fair enough to me. -

I know, how dare Ulamek attempt to qualify and then actually get in because he was good enough on the day. Christ if Bomber had done that and got a place in the GP series for next year we'd be loving it. -

He is nowhere near ready. Would be absolutely ridiculous to give him a wildcard at this stage. -

Something to do with the surgery he has either had or needs to have this winter maybe? First I've heard too but that's all I can come up with. -

Surely no one (else) believes Kennett would contribute anything either!
