  1. No I agree, I just meant that some would have thought it was harsh on AJ because he was only a few seconds out and with another ref on another night he may have got away with it - I admire the referee for putting his foot down, following the rules and excluding him.
  2. Definitely, okay maybe a little harsh on AJ some would say because he wasn't far off but 2 minutes is 2 minutes and he wasn't there, whether he was a few seconds later is irrelevant.
  3. Didn't know if Crump could pull that off but a truly sensational final saw him to the top of the rostrum. Got to agree with Silver Bee - on form he is quality to watch. Thought Nicholls was kind of unlucky, he had 1 s*** ride but had the track not caught him out before it was sorted out, he'd have made the semis (well, it would have been pretty likely). Rode well in 3 of his races though so maybe can perform well in the last few GPs and get into the top 8? Bomber was pretty good too even despite some 3rd places but made a bit of a mess at the start of his semi-final and that was that. One of his better GPs this year though. Think Nicki proved why he is probably going to be champion for a second consecutive year and it's difficult to see where points will be gained on him by Crumpy, yes Jason was top tonight but Nicki was just as good bar the final. It's also hard to imagine Nicki losing what he has, he had a simply stunning year last year, carried it on through this year and I can't see him dropping the form next year. Nobody looks in the same class as him.
  4. The track's rubbish. The racing hasn't been bad to me but clearly that's not fit for racing. Gollob's in on the action as usual now the complaints have started coming in though Good old Tomasz.
  5. I disagree, think the racing's pretty good and points-wise it's interesting, still each to their own. Having said that the tapes have broken now so bit of a delay
  6. Our TV guide in the paper says 6pm aswell. Good job I read this thread first or I'd have ended up watching at 6 because I don't usually check the Sky guide. Could be an interesting GP, although if Nicki gets anymore points on Jason then I think it's over. Looking forward to seeing Laguta after the WTC
  7. All the other riders except a certain Brit who'll be relying on his yearly nomination?
  8. Sorry, what? Adams and Crump are both in the top 8 and both fully deserve their (earned) GP places. As and when (I'd give him a shot next year but I've spoken to some who think it's too early - each to their own) Holder is ready it should be at the expense of a rider who has not earned their GP place and owing to some truly dire performances this year, Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris could be two such riders.
  9. Agreed. Or at least make sure he makes the step up to the EL, as good as he is and the world cup was great for him, you can't give a rider a wildcard nomination when all he's had is PL experience. I'd have thought so, easily deserves a chance.
  10. Like when he said Bjarne Pedersen was "doing the old, hold your knee, so your mechanic can get your bike ready in time" just wait until he's up and walking until you start throwing that around Johno Have to agree though, he has got a sense of humour, something we all needed watching that last night
  11. They need to change the qualification systems. There's too many nominations IMO.
  12. I think Scott's best ever GP came last season when Havvy unfortunately was riding over here - I might aswell go to GPs and "mentor" him, won't make any difference to the fact he's no good in the GPs, despite his league form.
  13. Tonight has proven that the world championship is Nicki's to lose, not Crump or any other rider's to gain. Once again he was truly class and consistent and it's difficult to believe that this is his first GP win of the season. There are still 5 GPs to go iirc but this is as good as Nicki's - only an injury will prevent him taking the title for a second consecutive year IMO. Credit to the other finalists who were also awesome tonight. The Brits were crap AGAIN but I can't be arsed to comment on their performances anymore. They'll be lucky to make the top 8 - good luck to them.
  14. Correct me if I'm mistaken but would the Scots team not be something like Grieves, Lawson, Tully, Sneddon and Stoddart? If so then I think that sort of answers your question
  15. Doubt Bridger would have done as well as Tai did. Probably jealous tbh. My opinion (for what it's worth) is that Lewis is a very talented speedway rider, I don't think he has it coming naturally to him as much as Tai does but he's still really good, but with recent events and a seemingly poorer attitude than Woffinden (and Kennett for that matter) I don't think he's ready for it. In the future, maybe even next year, but for me Tai's got a better head on his shoulders, he's got the mentality and the attitude and Lewis needs to have settled down a bit and get a bit of a grasp on reality before his time comes. Don't know the lad personally but it seems like he thinks he's already made it. He hasn't. Tai on the other hand just takes it in his stride, he's so level-headed and very mature about his speedway. Don't get me wrong, I think Lewis will make it, not sure about the GPs, world champion etc, I don't have the same hopes for him as I do Tai, but he's going to be a good rider for us as a nation and for the EL. Wonder if it would have made a difference if Lewis had done what Tai did and got a year or 2 in the PL gaining experience? Admire the ambition of Lewis but would it have helped him/slowed him down?
  16. Nice one, let's get Crumpy in then. And if we're talking Commonwealth riders then there'll probably end up being no Brits in the team
  17. Could try 6 for a replacement for normal points, 8 for double points maybe?
  18. Do you make the racecards for the GPs too, Danish Webmaster? Used one tonight too and they're probably as close to perfect as a racecard for the event can be.
  19. Australia were robbed of a better go at it once Crump was ruled out through no fault of his own but I don't think anyone could argue that the Danes were clear favourites and delivered. Fully deserved, well done. Message to Team GB - take a mental note of how Denmark behaved in the pits, you could learn something about team spirit.
  20. Race-off was repeated 9am following morning and possibly in the night too so it will be but not sure what time.
