OK it wasn't a concrete wall, but Canterbury offered the chance to get inches away from the racing too - halcyon days indeed.

This is good news for Speedway in Australia. Over the last few years the sport has taken a few steps backwards and hopefully this will move it forward again. If all goes well, we may even see the GP Series returning down under in the not too distant future!

As many riders do when they come up against someon ewho is out of control. Not so sure about the refreshing bit Rabs - when he puts someone through the fence it can hardly be described as refreshing for his opponent.

Credit where it's due though Rabski, Leigh is media friendly whereas the ginger one isn't slow to tell them where to go if things are going against him.
