  1. To Simmo's credit, that chapter in his history is fully covered Deks - Like him or not, Simmo has produced the best and most honest book ever published about Speedway. I await a similar publication from Len Silver.
  2. Thanks for the explanation mate. Lubos had a horror crash on Wednesday evening at Oxford, so maybe that was where the injury came from.
  3. Thanks for the link Tarabanko. Lifted from your link are the Czech scorers and they read Tjeckien 33 Matej Kus 3 (1,1,1,0,-) Fllip Citera 9 (2,3,1,2,1) Zdenek Simota 14 (3,2,2,2,3,2) Hynek Stichauer 7 (1,F,2,2,2) It says on the Official Oxford web site that Lubos Tomicek scored 3 points in this meeting - can anyone explain?
  4. I'm not naming names, but I'm confident it was a reliable source. And for the record, my source isn't Polish, but has excellent connections there.
  5. When they had speedway racing five nights of the week.
  6. Cardiff Arms Park in other words.
  7. In some ways so do I, and after hearing rave reviews about the new Czestochowa Stadium and track it does seem likely - having said that, Wroclaw town is a great place to visit and would be a huge loss to the travelling fans.
  8. Which surely proves falcace's point Chivs. Right with you on this one Steve - the guy has proven beyond doubt that he's more than worthy of a GP place and will surely grasp the opportunity with both hans when he returns to the GP circus. Not only has his riding improved enormously, he has matured beyond recognition, and I'm convinced he will be the next "Main Dane" and remain in that position for many years to come.
  9. I heard at Cardiff that Wroclaw have lost the rights to the GP for next year and that in 2007 it will be staged at either Leszno or Czestochowa, with Czestochowa being the favourite - can anyone confirm?
  10. Can someone please post the results and scorers from this meeting?
  11. Twas indeed the bird - you could have come outside and shared your pizza though. "One other" was bird's boy hey that sounds a good name for the bsf - what say you bird? Always have been a concurer. You knew what I meant LW.
  12. This could be the shortest thread in history.
  13. I know it will hurt Steve, but Lewis Bridger (over at Eastbourne ) is the man for the job. How biased is that? Great to meet you mate and I hope the horn didn't keep you awake. lol That sums it up for me too. And I take great pleasure in reading that hehe Oh come on Rabski, you're amongst friends here.......... please tell more lol That's my boy lmao Absolutely right. For Gawd's sake put that vodka down bird lol Cardiff for me was a great weekend - met some new folk and caught up with many old friends too - photos to follow (only joking Rabski lol). And to top the weekend off, I bet nobody can guess what I saw in Tescos.
  14. Quite clearly you've not been to Weymouth then schumifan.
  15. Tabs, I might be missing something here, but surely Heat 15 was the last scheduled race anyway?
  16. They wouldn't have the balls mate. Trust me birdy, we'll find somewhere.

  18. Let's all do the conga, hey, let's all do the conga, la la la la.
  19. You and me too C. Tommy was one of my idols and I'll never forget hearing the tragic news on my birthday many years ago. Gone, but never forgotten - Oh, what might have been.
  20. Many thanks for those, and also all the other interesting info from everyone.
  21. Thanks to everyone for their help. As frigbo says, Simmo returned to the track for Kings Lynn in 1993 - he made his debut at Belle Vue scoring 0. Has anyone got his stats for that season please? (ie M R Pts B T Av F P)
  22. Any news on the Czestochowa vs Leszno meeting Sube?
