  1. Olsen wants all tracks to be slick. They believe it gives better racing, with riders having to go extra wide to find the grip neccessary to over take. He did say something like 'We need to take away the dirt' - to make it more proffessional in the eyes of sponsers I presume.
  2. Seems that Ben Barker has had to be withdrawn from his last 2 rides.
  3. But if they cannot pay him, and he won't accept their new offer - What more can be done? Thousands of people accross the world have had their contracts terminated or re-written, Speedway riders are no different.
  4. Harris just needs that focus he had in his first season back and I think he could qualify for 2010. Nicholls, I have no idea, he doesnt have the talent/mental strength at this level, you can't question his effort but he will probably slip behind quite a few riders his junior this year. Just my opinion and I hope for WC purposes that atleast one qualifies.
  5. Ive seen a simular sort of video for an an exam I did, but on Ryan Air. Easy Jet, from my own experience are far more reliable, with more leg room and customer care than RA. RA DO have a 20 minute turn around for getting planes back in the air, well they sure did in the video I watched.
  6. Maybe won't affect fans, but these cut backs will definetly affect a few of the riders who are travel around Europe every single day off the week.
  7. Should be an awesome meeting, Complin for a Team GB spot haha
  8. Bit cold sleeping in the castle ruins this time of year though?
  9. Do they get that many chances in Sweden? Just thought it would help the Allsvenskan to be more competitive and bigger.
  10. Why don't a Finnish team start up and run in the Allsvenksvan, like the Ukrainan and Latvian teams in the Polish 2nd division?
  11. So people can get home and not have to shell out loads on accomadation?
  12. They've released a few riders too? None of those riders (well I guess apart from Emil) are top riders. Although extremely entertaining. Hope it goes well for the pirates
  13. Same top 3....Nicki, Jason, TG... I think Emil will find the GP's extremely hard. One of AJ and Hans to make the break through and to catch Leigh Adams and Greg Hancock up Freddie, Nicholls, Rune and Bomber to fight for the 8th spot.
  14. It's a bit like buying a holiday online from 2 different companies (Airtravel and Accomadation), airline goes bust while you are either overseas or just about to go on holiday; you are not backed by ABTA and can't refund your Accomadation or get help from ABTA for a flight back home. Did you have travel insurance (i.e from the post office?) Agree, Ryan Air are in a win win situation and will likely get more popular when the reccession takes hold..
  15. When there is only 8 qualifying spots and such a big gap between the top 4 and the rest there is always gonna be riders who don't quite make the grade. There isnt and never will be 16 world class riders, simple as. Should we just have 8 Gp riders ....How boring. Good Luck to Bomber, I'm sure he will do much better next year.
  16. Bomber isnt that bad...He had some awful crashes this year and started the year off slowly. I must have watched a completely different rider to most.. I think he'll do ok next year. Nicholls can turn it on when hes really fired up, but to me isnt really going anywhere and Niels deserved a place more so
  17. this years meeting had nothing to do with the track, just the field. Ulamek and Walasek were the 2nd and 3rd best riders on show down to injuries and no shows from this years 9th - 15th in the GP seris.
  18. Sorry, I didn't realise Rune had got in...I didn't watch the GP last night and thought Rune was way off, but well done to him Jarek should be in then. I just don't think you should throw an 18 yr old in the deep like that. It shows how bad the world stage is though when he is one of the front runners. 1 Harris had some tough crashes, I'd stick with him. Jonas and Freddie are both extremely talented riders. They both deserve a shot but another year wouldn't hurt Freddie, whereas Jonas is a year older and has been unlucky with having Lindback and Freddie in the way of getting a Wildcard. So therefore I'd go with 9. Nicholls 10.Harris 11. Hampel 12. Davidsson
  19. I hope Jonas is given the nod as the final Swede. He does seem to be able to turn it on when it matters. Give Freddie another year and he'll qualify by right. Wouldn't put Emil or Holder in, sure their talented riders but only in their age range. I'd prefer to see Harris and Rune given another go.
  20. I seriously hope no-one is foolish enough to sign him if he only wants to do half a year But wish him well in Poland, Sweden and Russia
