The second half of this SGP wasn't too bad, but the first half was a strain with the track resembling a swamp. It is not the first time Phil Morris has set a track under water. Why again and again?

I was at Landshut last night, and Team GB thoroughly deserved theri triumph. They were head and shoulders above the rest, even though it was strange for us to see Leon Flint struggle to score points on what is his Polish league home track. Germany was genuinly believeing we could beat Great Britain at Landshut. Our hopes were dealt a blow when Erik Riss fell ill again, and currently neither Hausl nor the newcomer Skupien are adequate subsitutes for Riss. Huckenbeck and Blodorn did what was expected of them, Wolbert was not quite as good as expected, and in the end even the Czech wer placed ahead of the Germans. There was not much excitement for the 5,100 crowd last night at Landshut. They had expected a better fight for the victory, but the track was once more put under water by Phil Morris, and even when it began become better (the best race of the night was the Lambert v Blodorn battle in heat 7), another extensive track grade after heat twelve seemed to spoil it again and destroy the possibility for the riders to overtake manoevres on an outside line. I was a nice evening, the weather was good, the organisation of the event nearly perfect, but there was not a lot happening on the track last night. Less than a handful of genuine overtakes, and all in all not much good racing, unfortunately. It could be exactly the same for tonight's SGP, if they are unable to prepare a better track.

Quite a spectacular crash of Amber Kramer, the only female rider in this meeting. She was really fast, but came off, and her bike unfortunately collected an other rider, SImon Meier, who seems to be injured. Amber Kramer is back on her feet again.

Lydd Speedway Update Lydd Speedway will be working towards becoming a fully licensed track. With Try Speedway already confirmed for a training day in early March, and the Sussex Eagles Motorcycle Club also planning to host events, preparations are well underway. A range of different events is currently being considered, with the initial focus on hosting a PIT BIKE competition. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks. Additional events are also planned, including speedway events and other motorcycle activities. As part of ongoing improvements, a safety upgrade will be carried out, including the installation of an air fence, which is scheduled to be fitted this month, weather permitting. What we will be also focusing on is getting the younger kids getting plenty of practice on there Revvi bikes.

Come on, man, your Team GB riders aren't that bad. If all of the top British riders (Lambert, Bewley, Woffy) come to ride in the Test Series against the Aussies, this would be a heck of an event. Perhaps even of interest to a tv station to cover this test series instead of the league. Who knows? Five proper speedway tests over 18 heats with 6-rider teams plus reserves, no gimmicks, that's all it needs. Make Speedway Great Again !

With the Premiership down to just five teams, wouldn't the 2026 season be perfect for Speedway GB to at last bring back a proper 5 Test "Speedway Ashes" Series against the Aussis?
