  1. I personally don’t think it does a lot for speedway if you are trying to improve its perception as a professional sport. This must come under the remit of improving the product? Sure I understand it’s about entertainment and supporters enjoy it when emotions boil over. At least it shows the riders are committed. In that sense some would have come away from the meeting with their experience of the product enhanced? However, sponsors might think twice about being associated with a sport where physically attacking a fellow competitor appears to be just part and parcel of the spectacle. The BSN camera crew and commentators were also quick to follow the action. Part of me feels they shouldn’t have given it the publicity it got.
  2. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/miscellaneous/scb-statement/ Kerr fined and warned of future conduct.
  3. any news on whether Kerr has been sanctioned for his antics last night? it was amusing (and a bit embarrassing) to watch especially after Phil Morris was preaching about improving the product on BSN. if Kerr doesn’t see a punishment then it diminishes Phil’s credibility in my view.
  4. if Emil and Jason stay fit I can see Ipswich winning the league. That and at least one strong r3serve ;-)
  5. haha what a joke. as if the belle vue team isn’t strong enough already.
  6. the witches are tracking an out of sorts reserve pairing so are unlikely to be able to command a big lead for the 2nd leg. as others have alluded to, the condition of the belle vue track will likely determine the odds of either side progressing with the witches likely favouring damp or cooler conditions. a warm up is forecast for next week but whether that gets as far as manchester who knows…
  7. maybe some direct action to stall the building of new houses would be justified…after all its just implementing the terms of the deal.
  8. sounds like the meeting went flat by the interval
  9. stars and panthers trying to dodge the wooden spoon
  10. who is this sedgeman fella then? sedgmen isn’t it? shows how shallow the pool of riders is when teams are fighting over him.
  11. the racing was decent for foxhall and better than was dished up at the showground a couple of weeks ago
  12. hawkins really has lost the plot thinking batch was a good option
  13. Riss, Batchelor and Heeps will need to rediscover their top form for the Witches to challenge. Maybe management are assuming that one of these won't and have therefore left headroom in the point limit for an early season change should things not work out? I cant see them having much patience with Heeps if he comes to the tapes unfit.
  14. A moderate amount. Mostly avoided heavy downpours. Track should be in decent nick by 4
  15. what was kurtz injury again? not sure it would have made a difference but i never heard the story
