  1. "There are good people involved with running speedway but there are some that aren't as well," Hawkins added. "Ipswich and Chris Louis have shown what can be achieved and that people do still want to watch speedway, and will back a professional outfit. "There's still potential that the sport can carry on and be great but it needs the right people involved which they're probably not at the moment."
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/articles/cpvd2g1wgvmo Can’t see this posted in the thread. Manager Hawkins supports Ipswich Witches sale
  3. It’s the only way to keep professional speedway in the country
  4. Sheffield were the only team that could have beaten a fully / mostly fit witches side infact I would go so far as saying Sheffield might have been favourites over 2 legs given their late season changes
  5. Redcar’s guests are pants and that means the tie will be over in a few heats
  6. I think Edward’s rides better under pressure. Doesn’t panic or make mistakes which I’m not sure you can say about Jenkins who appears a bit more accident prone. Would Jenkins have beaten Becker? I doubt it.
  7. Agreed he was stepping his game up to compete with the Grand Prix riders. As he matures he maybe needs to know when he can ease off the throttle a bit, especially with the modern bikes prone to lifting like that
  8. We might not miss him that much if the others are on form. Brennan does blow hot and cold. Maybe overriding in Poland last night
  9. Drew kemp will need to be on song to deny the witches. Will the pressure of getting one over on Chris Louis inspire or prove too much?
  10. I was thinking something similar. That and seeing the city of Sheffield sport sinking….
