  1. And if he doesn't will you be gracious enough to admit he should be kicked out of the GPs? I'd like to think I'm a gracious type of fellow and if you look on page 1 of this very thread you'll find evidence to support such as assertion.
  2. That's very true. I always stated that Lindback and the former British champion didn't deserve nominations. I also stated that while Bjarne Pedersen should be given a second chance, I didn't expect him to take it.
  3. You've only posted eleven times and I've had enough of your terminal delusion already. The season doesn't run from the end of June, it runs from the end of April. And it doesn't end on August 31st either - it runs for another three GPs.
  4. Why should I be afraid? The difference is, young fellow, that I'll not be arguing for the inclusion of Messrs Hampel and Holta if they fail to make the top eight, while Jagus seems indifferent to carrying on in the circus in spite of making a favourable impression on most fair minded observers. Hampel's had a few chances and not really taken them, so let him have a year on the sidelines pondering whether he really wants to get to the top. Kasprzak, unlike any British riders, remains in the qualification process, so he has every chance of making the GPs sans nomination. But why will everyone laugh? Many people scoffed at Wieslaw Jagus being in the GPs, but he's just behind your beloved Beggar in the standings and must stand a good chance of over-hauling him with Bydgoszcz and Krsko (a couple of circuits you'd think would suit Jagus) The former British champion has never done much at Bydgoszcz (the circuit requires brain over brawn).
  5. And reviewing the last two GPs, Tomasz Gollob is in third place (behind Leigh Adams and Nicki P) and the former British champion sixth, with Jason Crump and Wieslaw Jagus also ahead of him. What does that prove? Nothing, the same as yours.
  6. No, in a word. Once again, the former British champion flops.
  7. Mateusz, looking at the above fixtures, would I be right in thinking had Tarnow defeated Torun tonight by enough points to become the "lucky loser", that Sunday would've seen Torun and Tarnow go head to head in the play-offs AGAIN?
  8. Well, it isn't going to be Gollob at Bydgoszcz, that's for damned sure, since I have inside information that Gollob's "fixed odds" are going to be 1 (ONE).
  9. And Harris missed the Bydgoszcz versus Rybnik meeting last season. In his current form and if he has his gating head on (and when the mood takes him, Tomasz Gollob can outgate anyone in the world), Gollob will take some stopping on a track he's dominated in a manner no track has ever been dominated before. Gollob has made at least the final in the last five Bydgoszcz GPs and has won four of the last five (2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005).
  10. Get your facts right, buster. Andreas Jonsson is currently World No 4 and will be until the end of this GP series. And Jonsson has won a GP this season. I'd say that qualifies his as a "top GP rider". I did and Jonsson outclassed Nicholls on the night. They met three times and Nicholls never looked like winning any of them. Okay, he pushed Jonsson hard in Ht 15, but he never looked likely to get by. And colincooke, what on earth do you want an apology for? I've looked at the post you mention and all it does is point out your hypocrisy, since first of all you say all that matters is finishing top eight and then you say to forget that and go on to say that the former British champion should be in regardless.
  11. I rather think I won't. I didn't see it, but obviously a decent enough GP for the former British champion, but he still finished behind the great Tomasz Gollob. Congratulations to him on making the final, but it is just one meeting and he did finish stop last in the final, hardly anything to get that worked up about. And he's only just in the top eight at the minute, with the man all the experts around here said had no hope (Wieslaw Jagus) just a couple of points behind him. And Bydgoszcz and Krsko are Jagus type circuits.
  12. Congratulations to the former British champion on his victory in the Latvian Grand Prix tonight. Hang on, what do you mean he didn't win? You're carrying on as if he's won. He finished fourth, you say. So, last in the final? Is that it?
  13. And very rough and tough of the former British champion to push and shove a 63-year-old man around.
  14. Certainly a lot thinner than the former British champion.
  15. With the not inconsiderable backing of the Ham Group, the former British champion should be easily able to match the best when it comes to equipment. If this is not the case then clearly he isn't professional enough and hardly deserving of a place in the GPs.
  16. I assume you missed the SWC Final - you know, the one where Bjerre and Kasprzak had a wonderful race against each other and where Kasprzak overtook Nicki P. And if we're going to for excitement, let's have Damian Balinski in the GPs, or even the Messiah from Glasgow.
  17. But wasn't this the season he was going to really "step up"? The same as last season he was going to "step up" and the season before, for that matter. But he never does, does he? And it doesn't help that he gets a charity entry to the GPs every year - it puts him in a comfort zone, where he can settle for being a mediocrity.
  18. Okay, let's change the statistic regarding this speedway colossus a little. Try having made just FIVE finals in FIFTY-TWO appearances in GPs. The former British champion's GP record (year..GPs..finals): 2001..1..0 2002..9..1 2003..9..2 2004..8..0 2005..9..0 2006..9..1 2007..7..1 Not very good, is it?
  19. Marta Poltorak at Rzeszow, although I suspect in the literal sense, she doesn't have balls? Didn't she have a run in with Rune Holta towards the end of last season and suspend him until he apologised. I don't think he did, since he wasn't seen in Rzeszow colours again.
  20. Why? I'd say Allan Ham isn't getting much bang for his considerable investment, wouldn't you?
  21. Are you sure about Mitch Shirra in 1984? I'm sure that I was at the meeting and that it was won by Martin Hagon.
  22. And sadly no Szczepan Bukowski at Tarnow either.
  23. No doubt at all that Bjerre is the guilty party - he rode straight through Kosciecha.
  24. Czestochowa might as well have shipped Ulamek over to Swindon as well. Only a couple of points from two rides so far.
  25. That depends on if they let the golem Olsen anywhere near it. Didn't the Latvians say the track was usually much better than it was for the GP? But a "dodgy" track gives better opportunities to the former British champion, as Prague illustrated. I think he'll struggle off gate 3 against Nicki P, Andersen and Adams in his first outing, but if the track cuts up rough, he should score some serious points in his other four rides, while those around him in the standings will probably retreat back into their shells, save for Holta who could have a very good GP. I'd say that Latvia and Germany present the former British champion's best bet for good points, whereas Krsko and of course Bydgoszcz should favour the likes of Gollob and Jagus.
