  1. Suspected broken wrist they said in commentary. I guess we'll find out more tomorrow.
  2. So true. I guess you're right. My definition of world class is multiple GP wins and at the top of the averages in the major leagues. On neither count has Lindback managed to get classified as "world class". If you have a lower standard, then I guess you have a lower standard.
  3. He's never been a world class rider.
  4. Those are, indeed, the rules. But they're incredibly stupid rules.
  5. I was half hoping Andersen would win the thing, just to illustrate how incredibly obtuse the new points system is.
  6. Surely Waite can't be THAT desperate?
  7. If you find a decent place to hide, I'm sure Lindback would be grateful if you'd share it with him.
  8. Yes. Going to be overshadowed a little by the wonder show from Harris, but Nicki P did win again. And won comfortably. In the form of his life at the minute. Congratulations to Nicki P - again, whether we like it or not, the best rider on show.
  9. Got found out a little bit in the final, I felt. But still, a wonderful effort from Harris.
  10. Brilliant, just brilliant. Conditions are perfect for Harris and he's taking advantage. Fair play to him.
  11. Obvious really, sexy young schumi. We've supporters who put up with the nonsense.
  12. Just my little joke. Following on from: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...topic=33483&hl= Interesting to see that young Shovlar's view of Lindback's loss of form is significantly different from his view of Richardson's. Truth is, Lindback's just never lived up to a reputation that he never warranted.
  13. Well, someone asked if Lee Richardson was bored with the sport, but I think it's more pertinent for Lindback. For myself, I just believe it shows the folly of charity nominations. Lindback shouldn't have been in the GPs this season and, like Lee Richardson last season, he looks like his confidence is shot to pieces.
  14. Fine performance from Harris. No doubt about that. Conditions in Wroclaw are perfect for him, with fortune favouring the brave.
  15. Wonderful, wonderful stuff from Harris there. No doubt about that.
  16. Unless he picks up in future GPs there's no way he should be considered for a 2008 nomination. He can't just keep getting gifted a place because of a reputation he's never lived up to.
  17. Certainly was. But what, oh what, is Antonio Lindback doing?
  18. Isn't it down to the promoters? Is that IMG/BSI? Anyway, I think it's devolved to the BSPA who leave the decision to the national team manager, which, whether you like it or not, is Middlo.
  19. Definitely Kennett. Simon Stead never is and never will be a GP class rider.
  20. Like the current British champion, making his way back after injury, although Jonnson did have four rides for Bydgoszcz on Sunday and presumably rode in Sweden on Tuesday.
  21. Well, Gollob and Jagus obviously, since I've picked them in the competition. As for the other couple, Crump and Nicki P. So, I guess that my prediction is: Jason Crump Wieslaw Jagus Nicki Pedersen Tomasz Gollob
  22. So, can we assume that your picks for the competition come from the above four?
  23. Agreed. Agreed, but Nicki P is in a very rich vein of form at the minute. Nor can I. I think I had him down to finish around eighth over the season. And that now appears very possible. Was poor in the GPs last season and has started this season poorly. I think he'll struggle to get into the top eight, to be honest.
  24. And the rout in Wroclaw ends, with the home team beating Bydgoszcz 59-30. It seems, given the number of falls and exclusions (a total of three races where only a couple of riders completed the four laps), that Mateusz could have a point regarding track conditions. But, no doubt, Herr Olsen will be ready and willing to have it super-slick for the GP. And after a brave fight, Zielona Gora lose by 50-40 in Leszno.
