Er, looks to me like Holder had an E/F.

The New Scoring System
Subedei replied to Grachan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Obviously didn't notice the "theoretically" in my post. I agree that it's not going to happen, now do me the courtesy of agreeing that it is theoretically possible. What is more likely to happen, in fact I would say it's inevitable, is that a GP winner will not come away from a GP they've won with the most points. Now, would you care to give me a million pounds if ever that happens? This new system was brought in for one reason and one reason only. And that was to improve the chances of a certain serial failure. -
Interesting results in Poland so far today: Rzeszow 47 : 43 Tarnow Bydgoszcz 40 : 49 Leszno Czestochowa 39 : 54 Torun Zielona Gora 49 : 41 Wroclaw

The New Scoring System
Subedei replied to Grachan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not necessarily. This system could, theoretically, see a rider win each and every single GP, but still not be world champion, while the rider who folds in each and every GP when it gets to the business end, could be champion. -
True. And, of course, he didn't have to rely on his nationality to get into the GPs either.

2007 Grand Prix Competition

It's not very transparent though, is it young Turner? Anyway, we know you play along, so who were your credits on and by how much are you leading? -
Who Will Challenge Nicki In 2007?
Subedei replied to Bonsai Diamond's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That's below the belt. Ah well, at least he hasn't been reduced to begging yet. -
Well, dirt is very unlikely on an Olsen prepared track, so I guess that's that knackered. Personally, I always had Lonigo down as a track Harris would do reasonably well on. I think he'll actually be caught short of horsepower when the circus hits those big tracks in Poland, where gating is crucial and power essential.
-
And what about the start Jagus has made to his GP career? Fourth in Bydgoszcz and then third in Lonigo. That rather puts the exploits of Harris into perspective.

Let's have a look at Crump's record: 2000 - 4th 2001 - 2nd 2002 - 2nd 2003 - 2nd 2004 - 1st 2005 - 2nd 2006 - 1st Only one man has any sort of record to match that and he's retired. -
Don't be afraid, young fellow. Your delusions are lifting, slowly, but hopefully surely. You're beginning to see things as they really are. Don't try and fight it. It's rewarding to see things clearly.

No, norbold, you didn't, but the terminally deluded don't read posts, they interpret them according to what they want them to read. Happens to me all the time.

Who Will Challenge Nicki In 2007?
Subedei replied to Bonsai Diamond's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I disagree. This was an unusual GP result, in as much as Nicki P won all his heats. Will there be another occasion when a rider so dominates a GP that he'll get the maximum 24 points? -
He was slumming it in the cruel, crazy town last night.
-
Dear fellow, you can't go around saying things like that. You'll get yourself a bad reputation. I don't want such a fine, upstanding fellow as you tarred with the same brush as I am.

The New Scoring System
Subedei replied to Grachan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It worked out okay, in the end. But, imagine if all results had remained the same, but Hancock had won the final. Hancock would've won the GP, but Nicki P would be leading the world championship by a single point. -

Indeed, weird to see both British riders in that list. Nicki P won the first final last year and looked awesome in doing so, but he didn't take the title. Maybe his going under the knife played a part, I'm not so sure. As for Crump, according to reports he looked slow and off the pace, but he still made the final. And my guess is he'll continue making finals and he'll probably pick up the pace. I still believe the title is Crump's, if he wants it. -
I never like to hear of riders getting injured and naturally I wish the fellow a speedy recovery.

Except for Bydgoszcz last season, when he finished fourth.

Just Who Are The Top 15 In The World?

I'm humble in your presence. So rare to meet a fellow with such integrity these days. I'm not overly keen on Holta, my comments were mainly pertaining to Wieslaw Jagus. -
I am serene in this time of vindication.

Badly let down by Jonsson. But Jagus came up trumps for me. And to think some of the terminally deluded considered him a no-hoper. He's been in the last couple of GPs and made the final on each occasion. But, of course, he's no where near as good as the beggar. Tee hee, tee hee.
