  1. These two statements sort of contradict themselves somewhat.
  2. Terrible move not getting him at reserve though.
  3. Lubos Tomicek comes to mind here ;-)
  4. All of which came over here long before 2001...
  5. Since 2001 I think I read somewhere...
  6. Well the same rider has still failed to achieve his original assessed target within 2 seasons - and SCB has also mentioned both Wells and Douglas as two other examples of riders who have also failed. Clear as mud as they say.
  7. Which if we are sticking to the regulations that have been quoted, in wrong in itself - why give someone a 2 year issue when they might of failed to fulfil the requirements ie. Achieve his assessed average within 2 seasons?
  8. Why is that relevant? He didn't start last season on an assessed figure and rejoined on his previously achieved average. Therefore, he has completed 2 seasons over here and failed to achieve his original assessed figure.
  9. To be fair I think the vast majority of realise there COULD be a problem, however until that problem is confirmed then it would probably be wrong of us to speculate on any of the potential 7 Somerset riders for this season being given the chop before the season has even commenced. It seems to be a conflict of information with certain teams being told different things. What is a interesting point and something I pose to the Workington promotion who were very quick to flap about Jack Holder being signed on a 5.00, is we're told that visa-riders need to achieve their assessed average within 2 years of being over here.... How many years has Mason Campton been over here now, and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't his average still below his original assessed average? A little bit ironic.
  10. Probably not the best arguement to put forward as he is now going to be riding at number 1 for us now - however there is no doubting Josh is a better all round rider in my opinion. I would be interested to see his home and away average split comparing 2013 and 2014. Oldtimer, just because he has effectively gone from 3rd heat leader (the same year he won the pairs don't forget) to now number 1, that also has a bearing on the rest of the side. In 2010 we started the season with two 3 pointers and two 5 pointers.... This year we only have one, at the moment ;-) whilst we aren't as strong at the top we have made up for it elsewhere in just a different make up of a team.
  11. Just to reiterate a point made previous, don't judge all Somerset (or Poole actually) fans based on Starman's inept views.
  12. Do people really believe everything that is put in front of them nowadays? I could make up a quote from Josh (or anyone for that matter) but doesn't make it true.
  13. Is there any proof that Josh was actually quoted as saying that? Or must we just take Workington's word as gospel because Josh elected to join Somerset over Workington?
  14. Ignore my previous post if you wish to suit your arguement....
  15. This has been the case since at least last year.
  16. Fantastic news if that report is to be believed :-)
  17. Nothing to do with either, Superstar1 posted saying 'What about Danny King then whose EL average is over 6?' - and seems to have deleted his post realising he was incorrect, leaving mine to be taken completely out of context referring to Dakota North, when it was actually in reference to Danny King.
  18. The way he was treated - give over. He got dropped to fit in both Jesper Monberg and Claus Vissing, when Claus returned from injury. Granted it seems he doesn't want to return to Somerset and Somerset don't particularly want him to return, but to say he was mistreated isn't true.
  19. He has a Premier League average achieved in 2014.
  20. That's very much his brother - however I think Charles is a completely different sort of rider and even with a 6+ average should still add to that considerably in 2015.
  21. More chance of hell freezing over I would imagine.
  22. Interesting article on the Workington website with regards Josh.
  23. I'll be really disapointted to see Charles go - him, Brady and Olly were just awesome to watch at the OTA last season and with Olly not being selected already it seems, to lose Charles would be a bitter pill to swallow on top of that. It may come to a situation where it's a toss up between Charles and Pontus. Another name to throw into the mix perhaps - Richard Hall on a 4.28 average. Would start at reserve and whilst he may offer you little away from home, he's usually pretty good value around the OTA.
  24. Maybe including BPs it was over 10, but I thought not including BPs it was just over 9?
