Somerset V Sheffield Pl 14/08/13 @ 7:30pm

Absolutely - but I was referring to the play offs, where you can finish 6th and win the League title because of your ability to keep scorelines close away from home.
-
Likewise Somerset - unlike Newcastle though, we've not lost anywhere by more than 8 points yet and scored a minimum of 41 points wherever we have been. Bar the slip up against Edinburgh, our form this season has been incredible up until now - we look untouchable at home now with the form of our top 4 and with our ability to keep the score close or win away, that is why we look massive contenders when the play offs come around.

Plymouth Devils V Somerset Cases Rebels 10/8/13
Najjer replied to Starman2006's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Fair play to him mind - the Rebels solely focused on blocking out Lemon on the first turn and Anderson just went round the outside of everybody. Another good 2 points, an enjoyable evening and the best race I've ever seen at Plymouth to finish things off in heat 15 - good stuff. -

Josh will be riding for Somerset, as he only signed for Poole a matter of weeks ago. This should be a thrashing of epic proportions. Compton was dire for Glasgow here a few weeks back, and whilst Jorgensen normally goes well here, he is by no means a number 1. Ricky Wells could beat a few but there's a good chance of the top 4 going unbeaten yet again here. 60+ for the Rebels. -
Would be a much fairer system on the team that wins the League, I agree. For what it's worth and the team that wins the league, they should have no problems winning a few more meetings to win the play offs too.
-
Exactly - last season typifies why the play offs are so great, the League title went down to the very last race of the season.

For the Lords are Jason Doyle and Nick Morris, who handed out a right spanking tonight. -

Looking forward to seeing Bech and Jensen around the OTA but like Cliffe said, this should be comfortable with the Rebels taking the win by 15 points or so. The form of our top 4 is immaculate at the moment, this should be a mere warm up for tomorrows meeting which is far more important. -
Rusty was completely pathetic all night, trailed a mile round at the back in his first 3 races and didn't even bother to cross the line and pulled into the pits early in all of these before making a go of heat 13. To be fair to him though, he wasn't the only one. Richard Lawson completely uninterested, Aarnio and Bach had their few moments and only Kyle Howarth came away with any real credit. It could be said the Comets were made to look even worse due to such a strong Rebels display - one of our worst riders on display was Doyley, how often is that said? And even then he was paid for double figures. Kyle once again very solid, whilst the reserves chipped in where they needed to. The other three were simply sensational, Morris and Davies were in a different league and out of sight every time by the time they exited bend 2. A class above anybody on show.

Confirmed no Bech on Saturday night... oh dear oh dear. -
Out of interest, do you include guest bookings in your system BB?

That's great news - wasn't exactly high speed by the time he had locked up but he certainly took a very awkward landing and could of been alot worse. -

When they came out of the 4th bend, Klindt had to back off the throttle to avoid hitting Hougaard who had come up the inside of him into turn 3, before shifting wide into turn 4. -

Had just gone round the outside of Ashley Birks, and the bike literally swung round too far on him and he came down pretty awkwardly on his back/neck area. Didn't hear any news given as to what the outcome/latest was on him but think he was taken away as a precaution more than anything - here's hoping. Not the way I recall - he went out to the fence (probably too wide) and had to go outside Birks before cutting back to the inside to squeeze Klindt right up against the fence. Comical that you can say Klindt was never close enough, if he didn't back the throttle off down the homestraight he would of been on top of Hougaard's bike where he slammed the door on him. -

My mistake - by the last comment about him being an Elite League rider, I must of misunderstood. For what it's worth, for anyone that saw him tonight, he was absolutely stunning. The Rebels were somewhat lacklustre with Nick and Josh only scoring 14 between them, but Patrick rode one of the best races I have ever seen at the OTA in heat 13. He was dead and out of it in 3rd place, bombed past Josh on the inside before sweeping round the boards to pass Micky Dyer. Just when you thought he couldn't trump that he went from 3rd to 1st, outside the very impressive Ash Birks and steamed under Nicolai Klindt taking him right to the fence. VERY impressive was Mr Hougaard - Let's start the rumour mill already, Somerset bound 2014!? 8-) -

Exactly the same as when a Premier League rider rides in the Elite League, and a National League rider rides in the Premier League - all completely legal, assuming his average doesn't exceed the rider he is replacing. -
He was good value on track too, and very gracious in his interview afterwards praising the rebels and Josh's heat 15 ride also - good to see.
-
Know nothing about this new rider for Glasgow, so god knows how well he will go.. but I'd be mega surprised if Nick, Alex and Josh don't all go through the card tonight.

Or on the flip side, more chance of being lower - that's all down to the law of averages. -

Don't be such a moron all your life - if they are riding in the Elite League, they are in theory good enough to be there. -

It wasn't a criticism, SCB just said it wasn't 'unlucky'. -

I can't see what was harsh about it. Aarnio had bike problems in his 3rd programmed ride before just making the 2 minutes, only to plow through the tapes. When he got out of the gate in heat 14 only for his bike to let go again was no fault of the Rebels. Neither was Mills crash, as he completely lost control on his own accord. -

You had two riders in heat 14 - one of them his bike conked out and the other plowed into the fence. -
