Potentially, depending on the Doyle outcome. However as it stands, the team is complete.
-
Thanks for your observations also, albeit incorrect - as it currently stands, Somerset's team is complete and has been for some time.
-
Poor side - bottom half of the table for sure.
-
I thought someone had already quoted the rulebook on here which confirms Brady should be a 5.00. I can't remember which poster it was and don't have the time or the patience to scroll back to find it - although I recall SCB saying the wording is up for manipulation, meaning the 5.00 is perfectly acceptable.

If this appears to be the case and Doyle isn't able to line up for us, lets hope that Aspegren is soon bombed out without even riding for us and sign another near 8 pointer in his place. Starting the season so far under the points limit is not an option. Never stopped having faith, but being nearly February and the team plans still up in the air, it's no wonder fans are starting to get a little restless.
-
That's the slightly concerning thing, after such a successful season we might be only welcoming Charles Wright back, who only rode a handful of League matches for us last year. Continuety is key and we have absolute zilch, especially if Doyle doesn't make it across - which seems to be getting more and more unlikely.
-
Fair enough then - Shame for him that he won't win anything at Workington, but that's his choice it seems.
-
Thanks for clearing that up - I'd assume as already suggested on here, because of his other commitements. The worst part is, after the most successful season we could now potentially be looking to go into the following season with 1 rider from the previous years team, and not one of the top 3.
-
I don't - hence my post starting with "begs the question" in the hope someone would be able to provide me with an answer.
-
Begs the question why he was even considered in the first place, and Grajczonek wasn't retained.
-
Regardless of whether Doyle could ride for Leicester as well on a T5 visa, what would be the issues to prevent him riding for just Somerset? As his primary sponsor, of course.....
-
Leicester best get looking for a new no.1 in which case.
-
Although for whatever reason they seem unlikely to do so - if as mentioned on this thread, it's too expensive then maybe the rider should stump up the money themselves otherwise it's going to be a long old year for them sat back in Australia.

Like I said a while back, the silence from Somerset is deafening
-
Was more referring to the complete lack of communication coming out of the Rebels camp to either quash rumours or confirm, or at least give an update to the Doyle situation. For what it's worth I think the correct decision has been made on Davies regardless of his visa issues and he should benefit having a season away from Somerset. However, a Somerset team without Jason Doyle almost seems unthinkable now.
-
The most disapointting thing about the Doyle situation is the complete lack of updates and/or conformations one way or the other. I've said it before in recent times, but it's amazing how we've gone from being such a professional outfit and league champions to being what seems like complete amateurs.
-
At the tail end of his spell at Somerset and then at Birmingham where he rode as no.1 for a short period, he was superb.
-
We'd be so lucky!!
-
Incorrectly or not, it appears Brady will start the season on a 5.00 average.
-
What relevance is this? The best thing Somerset can do is sell him on and cash in whilst he holds some value.
-
Why waste 2 points on a no hoper for, if the suggestions are he will struggle to average 3? Where is the sense in that?
-
Begs the question why he was ever signed in the first place then, doesn't it? Especially given the reason this is why we had previously dropped riders including Sam Masters.
-
The British under 21 champion going back home to Australia.... Ah right yes!
-
We are on about the same Rob Branford who has been over here years, and never once progressed right? Amazingly he won the Under 21s last season but one meeting doesn't make a season. I believe he was soon signed up by Leicester and then soon moved on straight after.
