  1. Bizarrely I was at that meeting too at Wimborne Road too, and Zabik was sensational along with Andersen. Zabik was very much in the same mould as Pawlicki was when he first came over with Coventry. Must be a Polish thing!
  2. What an absolute mess this appears to have turned into. Somerset had over the reason few years built up a massive reputation as a force to be reckoned with, ruthless in decision making, a very popular club to ride for and all round a professional outfit - this however appears nothing short of amateur on both my clubs point of view and also the BSPA - I haven't looked into the rules fully but it appears there's a big mistake being made, and the undefendable can not be defended. I along with Oldtimer am absolutely gutted to see Nick Morris released. I bigged him up when he was signed last year that he would be the one to win us the league title, and after a slow start became immense at home and our completely solid away from home. By far the most entertaining and it's nothing short of a disaster to see him released. On a side note, don't take Starman's opinions as a representation of the average Somerset fan.

  4. So this idea is dafter than winning a League title on the play off system?
  5. Probably the most sensible post in this whole thread. Claims of 'cheating' is a million miles away from the correct answer - major mistake, probably from more than one party, seems nearer the truth.
  6. The only reason he never turned out for Somerset last year was that he supposedly wasn't old enough to gain British patriality - and being lumbered with a 5.00 average. The hope was by waiting a year, this could drop to a 3.00 by being classed as British, which now remains to be seen if that's correct or not.
  7. Incorrect - as if that is the case, you would need to then -2 from that figure.
  8. No he wasn't - he signed for Somerset in place of Tom Hedley on a 5.00.
  9. No mention of either Kurtz brothers in the Aussie Championship field for 2014.
  10. Said it this time last year, and I'm going to say it again.... We're going to win the league!
  11. Well after just catching up on 4 pages worth of reading, it's confirmed - Starman is a moron.
  12. You still haven't got over it? Charles Wright has been superb since signing for us.
  13. I have a look at the forum once in a blue moon, I should come back more often as this has been more than comical Well done you Rebels, onwards and upwards!
  14. If he gets out the gate, he will be okay. If he doesn't, he's stuffed.
  15. Hardly - Garrity only did half a season.
  16. James McBain has been on the scene for quite some time now, hardly a kid.
  17. 1/ Jason Doyle 2/ Kyle Newman 3/ Nick Morris 4/ Alex Davies 5/ Josh Grajczonek 6/ Charles Wright 7/ Craig Cook
  18. If you want to win the league you are going to have to beat the best teams, so bring them on whenever!
  19. Just seen your reply after I have made an edit, but Ashley Morris is another who seems to have scored pretty steadily all season which is good to see after a few seasons of trying to crack the PL.
  20. Talk about knee jerk reaction - For all of the riders that have improved Ie. Stefan, there have many that have tried and failed miserably. There's also another saying... "there's always room for improvement"
  21. If ever we needed to keep our run up of scoring 41 points or more all season, this is it....
  22. Agree with you fully Barney - we've heard many stories of Somerset being one of the few teams who completely look after their riders and treat them right. This tends to dent that reputation a bit. Time will tell and I hope it works out as the promotion could have massive egg on their face come the end of the season.
