  1. A guy called Shaun Brown who posted on this site as SCB @Pinny knows who I'm talking about.
  2. It was a dreadfull interview, bloke couldn't even name last years team..
  3. That's the one I always use, fantastic site.
  4. I refuse to even look at that site based on who runs it, a convicted repeat sexual offender.
  5. I watched the last round of the Aussie championship this morning, Cairns rode in support and had 1 ride in the meeting, what has he done to his face? looked a right mess
  6. Not sure if he did time or not
  7. Mark Courtney, went to prison for importing drugs into the country and made a successful track return and still works in the sport today .
  8. I spoke with one of the guys about 2 weeks ago and the answer was still no and yes the BSPL have approached them. This is why 2 of the guys went off and set up the Kent Eagles at Iwade. Its been 4 years now since speedway ran at Arlington, the track is now down to its base and all the equipment would need to be replaced including a new fence so even if the nod was given, it would be a substantial amount of money just to get to tapes.
  9. Train up local riders in the hope of making them professional speedway riders.. If all clubs took this attitude we wouldn't be producing any riders for the future.
  10. No, they've signed him for the greater good of Poole speedway, they are not training and developing riders for the grater good of British speedway or the riders themselves.
  11. That's probably cost him a fair bit of cash
  12. Was it that good though? I remember Michael Lee failing to turn up at Eastbourne to face Gordon Kennett and rode in another fixture, possibly abroad, can't remember now.
  13. Im an Eastbourne fan, enjoyed good natured banter over the years, wish we still had it. But this person is beyond boring, and just childlike.
  14. Watched him as a junior at Eastbourne, had that broken leg which had a lot of complications, he lost his Mum from an early age, I Sponsored him in his early days and went through the Eastbourne times when he didn't get paid, like all riders, by Ian Jordan. You could tell as a junior, he was a talent.
  15. Every business should have its own business plan, but if the collective business model of the industry they work in is failing, then its going to fail despite their individual efforts.
  16. No, issues go back years, semi pro and a rebuild.
  17. Don't think they had any choice, as I have pointed out over protected nights in the UK. It was way too late to change the league structure this year, hopefully they will work on a plan in place for 2027 but they have backed themselves into a corner with riders doubling up and the thought of loosing the protected race nights would loose even More riders.
  18. This means in basic, at this present time, Poland have no control over rider and what they do on a Monday to Thursday, change this and they will have even greater control on what riders do affecting riders availability to league racing.
  19. Problem is, the fixed race nights are protected nights for each Country. UK, Monday and Thursday, Sweden Tuesday, Denmark Wednesday, Poland the rest. The minute the UK change this, Poland will run riot and demand riders in Poland, we can't afford to lose those nights, nor can Sweden and Denmark.
  20. Just checked it out, Wednesday 18/06/1986, Gordon Kennett scored paid 13 from 5, Dean Standing 9+3 from 5, Eastbourne won 46-32. Nearly 40 years ago..
  21. I only went once, a very young Martin Dugard scored a 15 point maximum for Eastbourne.
