Only once he knew a member of the old Bournemouth promotion was going to be involved at Plymouth did he backtrack on his decision & move to Poole, luckily for him.

Recommended by his fellow Aussies with a reputation of being a good gater. I think he only had 1/2 a year on a 500cc & was beating similar Aussies of a same standard but was found out very quickly to not be up to the required level.

Which is what we are hoping for in J Thompson as he scores well at U17, U19 U21 meetings when he gates or gets in front but more to learn when mixing it, catching & overtaking at CL level.

It is not just about HL top 3 but 2nd strings & where riders could improve. We saw in both Cooks after the league fixtures finished what they could do scoring impressively in Play Offs & KOC. Ben could be their 3rd HL but I thinks Poole's plans, A-B-C, is about getting the right visa & qualification rights & bring in both Rew & Zischke of which Rew could end up 3rd HL.

Probably ALL those named have clubs already but not announced of which Rob would be aware. If naming names, try doing a bit of homework, Zischke is his surname & I was warned off by a Poole poster saying he was Poole bound probably with Rew now he is at Ipswich so sorting the correct visa to ride in 2 leagues. Kundsen is Knudsen & after being there this year & doing well was almost certain to stay. If not, Glasgow would have took him after doing the paperwork to bring him over.

Everything is getting expensive these last few months for the general public not just in food, energy, petrol/diesel but isn't the speedway fraternity just the same. The promoters have their costs, the riders have their costs, the speedway suppliers have their costs so it is a never ending circle. The hard core punters will find a way & budget accordingly, just as in watching other sports but viewing from the stands, in stadiums, in velodromes, in theatres I would think, is declining all over. Just watching the early rounds of the snooker on tv the other week tells me that a lot of sports are struggling & even not paying out for that "magic 147" (of which Judd Trump has done 2 in 3 weeks).

Please, enlighten us with names? You have often said that you are not a supporter of Scunthorpe & going by your other posts on threads, NOT a supporter of speedway. Why bother?

He had a very good end of season(league) when Leicester were going for the no1 spot. Hence his 10 meeting average is 10+ but based over the season of 20 league meetings, his average was just below 9. Still excellent for a number 1

Go to scroll down to Gambo post. I think he does the averages for the BSPLtd/SCB so take his word. Do not forget to -2.5% for the British riders.

Double headers or riding on alternative nights(either league) could have been used. It is always used at the end of the year.
