  1. 5 year plans or plans not thought out thoroughly. Take this years pre AGM & AGM as an example. 2 Home & 2 away gives more(probably) meetings to fill in the gap weeks(too many for some clubs this year) then thrown out because of clubs possibly running 2 teams (CL & NDL), Berwick, Oxford & Plymouth & 1 with rental issues, Birmingham(less meetings, less losses). My issue with the Rising Star system was that it should have been experienced based grading. 1* & 2* riders should not have been riding in the Premiership which includes J Palin. They then should have then been allowed to move through the system before achieving at least 3 or more years experience with an achieved average of 6+. The Polish system worked even though a few riders excelled in their early years, were kept at reserve until they reached a certain level of experience.
  2. They will use D King as a guest from April onwards.
  3. There would be quite a few riders without a place on averages between 2 & 4. Only way to get loyalty is discount the riders average at the team building stage(10%)
  4. If you can get your fixtures right, only ride 1 meeting on or before 23rd March so TJ gets a new rolling average on 1st April & Knudsen will get a new average after completing his 8th meeting(taking in 2022 & 2023). Should be enough time to make a change but unfair on the lad dropping out after a short time.
  5. They did ask the fans what they thought of the points system of which over 70% decided to go back to 2 point wins, no away bonus points & aggregate point for the technical tracks to benefit from.
  6. You can buy the Speedway Star from a newsagent from 5am onwards or get it delivered about 6.30am so it is easy to find out before the press release. A good signing with room to improve as is a few of our riders as we know it will be difficult for others to improve their average.
  7. A racing incident that annoys me is when riders are racing close together round a bend & the rider in front locks up. The rider behind has no time to change his line, no time to lay his bike down so runs in to him & is excluded. The fault lies with the rider in front.
  8. The original Rising Star list is now 2 years old so it will be interesting to see who is on the new list & how they have been graded & by what criteria. Before it went by age & not experience or average even though a reduction of 25% was mentioned in topics.
  9. The last 2 meetings in the Premiership(Mon 24th Oct) did not count in Final averages although it did not say Final in Championship Section of averages so I assume the Plymouth v Glasgow meeting did, although this might have to do with removing the Newcastle scores.
  10. I can not find the comments as I just went on reading the last few(5) posts in the RHS section on main forum page by lisa but as she says it is from TTT. He is on my ignore list but have just read his last few posts & one is edited(possible name change re Tungate)
  11. Not just promoters but riders, possibly, although the rumour is from TTT in the prem section saying Basso doing Premiership. Is he doing both or changed his mind about doing Championship.
  12. Sweden ran this year on Tuesdays(2 meetings) & Thursdays(1 meeting). Reverting back to Tuesdays only in 2023.
  13. Look back Albert & what did we do in 2005? We re-established ourselves! Yes, Workington have shown their intent to run in 2023 & hopefully beyond but what of other clubs? What will Eastbourne, Edinburgh, Isle Of Wight, Peterborough do when/if they return. Also, the likes of Exeter, Cradley, Rye House could return & the possibility of clubs, already in the league, running junior teams. Rules & Regulations & the set up of Leagues/ teams change every year, some good some bad but we have to accept it.
  14. Yet Danny Ford came out & said that the AGM was all about dotting the i's & crossing the t's yet it was more than that.
  15. Nothing to do with the BSP Ltd(A), it was an AGM of ALL the promoters who ALL had a say to the goings on. For Danny Ford to make a statement to his local press & published Monday, then to change it at the AGM the very next day makes you wonder what was said at the previous monthly meetings at Rugby.
  16. I would think that the "twitter vote" of over 70% bringing back the "bonus point" were voters from technical tracks that see great racing, cough cough, every week/fortnight. POINTS MEAN PRIZES!!!!!! To add to this, posters on here go on about Promoters self interest, well, they should now look in a mirror & hang your heads in shame. Read more on the Championship 2023 thread to see a lot(majority) are not happy.
  17. Looks more like a cycle speedway track with a bit of dirt on it.
  18. Better suited to another motorbike sport, grasstrack similar to Wajtknecht or Mulford.
  19. Well you certainly seem to know all that goes on plus you drive us round the bends & seem to be a good mouth piece on all topics.
  20. I seem to remember that 1 of the riders was MPT!
  21. Possibly, after all the monthly meetings at Rugby & the AGM is all about "dotting the i's & crossing the t's", a team(s) has been put together which other promoters are not happy about as they did not think that this scenario could happen hence extra time being required, all in the eyes of self precedence.
  22. That could be "musical chairs" after their initial tea & biscuits
