I think the Leicester & Poole riders knew what they had to do & did it.

From what I remember a few years back, because the better teams were nearly always reaching the semi's of all the competitions, there was talk of starting with the Shield/Trophy but having it finished by early/mid June by which time the KO should have started & have that finished by end September leaving the league meetings/play offs to be finished by end October but, as always, Promoters got their way fitting in more important League meetings before a cut off date. Something too easy & simple but promoters will not play ball. Putting in "definitive" cut off dates for all competitions will make teams get their meetings in or they are out!

It is even more amazing in that the season started later for most if not all clubs in April rather than late March & some clubs season will end 2nd week in September. Even Leicester have had a 3 week gap. Maybe the fixture maker(I think a guy from Edinburgh) & the BSP Ltd/SCB can get their heads together & arrange the fixtures every 3 weeks with a 1 week gap of all leagues. This would allow fixtures to be rearranged during this week for rain offs, curtailed, postponed, cup meetings when dates available for every club. Poland do it every other week so it should be feasible.

Kasper Andersen was I rider that I picked out to be a 2nd string for us pre season because of his scores around the EWR.

Said he would not ride tonight if he could not help the Bears by defeating the Scorpions" This why I posted about guests especially about Andersen when he guested for us twice scoring poor/average seemingly not really trying then scoring well (8+3 from 5 rides) for his parent club.

You would think some riders would want to be more active only getting in 1 league(either) meeting a week to keep race sharp. Riders know what Rob pays & they DO GET PAID.

Kyle has guested for us quite a few times so it was strange he said no.

I can see why we have struggled for a guest given the (poor) excuses by some riders but we could never use a Redcar rider, Glasgow, Plymouth with injuries, Pickering probably Poland bound with Ryan & Masters, Nicholls GP work.

He has been relatively, part time speedway but is one of the main sponsors of Lambert. Even Simon, being captain, should have dropped himself & changed heat 13 & 14 in Rowe & Roynon. Hindsight, wonderful.

I can see why they have brought in Connor Mountain for Aarnio as r/r for your 1 & 3 is stupid.

more so as in September, the averages go down to last 10 (qualifying) meetings although last Friday's 60-30 beating will not have helped.

Be honest lisa. Would the remedial work have been carried out if the meeting was over a month earlier(no school holidays) or council visit?

So Poole are now possibly tracking 4 riders. I wonder how much racing effort we will see if any of the 2 Cooks ride against King & Lawson & try more against others.

..... and is exactly the same in British speedway & most sports. topsoil, what is your view in football, then, if team A loses home & away 1-0 & team B lose 7-0 away but draw 1-1 at home?
