Drew might have been practising but if this is just your view on a double change, I can not see it happening. I am sure I have seen it somewhere where a guy, in the know of most rules, pointed out to other posters that if you make a double change & your team is over the limit then you have to re-declare to the top limit. As you stand at 43.8 & Worrall & Lawlor come in at 10.25 that would drop you to 6.45 for the change. As Kemp is on 4.19 your other rider would have to be 2.26 or less. Your guest & Lawlor have been getting about 10 points per meeting. Would Kemp & A N Other get these points? NO! Therefore, I very much doubt you will be making the changes that you have suggested.

"Poor Drew" ............. The management knew he would move into the main body almost as soon as the season started & hoped he would do well. Maybe he did ok but not as well as expected plus your reserves did not step up sufficiently to send him back to reserve & often swap positions.

They are now on bargain averages to ride for teams where they perform well, though. This is where rolling average/manipulation is wrong at the end of the year. You could still use the rolling averages of 22 or 23 but you lose your 2-3 lowest scores in that period. This would reduce the impact of manipulation but it would also cover poor scores from, say, coming back from an injury.

On the Odsal thread, someone posted it would possibly be a good idea for Stox & Speedway personnel look into the use of Odsal as Stox was finishing this year at the greyhound track. -
seems like every one on the forum then.

From the list of riders on the BSPA site & looking at averages, most teams have sent riders that are in the top 3. IOW sending a no7, Plymouth sending a no4 & Cradley sending a 6 & 7

Scorpions v Newcastle 23/08/2019 League

No, but we are talking about riders that have ridden other tracks before. Track preparation can change week to week, with set up changes required, never mind a few years ago. -

Josh Auty has ridden for Sheffield & Redcar before & his scores there, this year, have been poor. -

Also, a shout out to Rob Godfrey as that was the best prepared track I have seen this season with a bit more dirt on than earlier this year & the colour showing just how much moisture was in the track. But I still say it must be a bit of a nightmare because of the weather this year & forecasts. Getting onto the track 24/7 helps over other tracks that, it seems, have only hours to prepare a racing track. -

Not sure if the posters on here, having a go at TJ, were actually at the meeting. Yes he should be scoring more as a heat leader but his score of 5 does not do him justice as he could easily have scored 8-10 being in the mix for all his races but the track was awesome for both teams attacking the multi lines available. On the flip side to that, both Barker & Nielsen were in the mix & could/should have scored more with an unfortunate puncture robbing Nielsen of points. This, also, happened to Wethers in heat 14. Overall, it was a tight meeting, as I expected, with the score line not doing justice to what was served up. Ully was superb for you guys. -

I expect a tight meeting even with Newcastle's "suspect" heat leaders not getting their expected big scores recently. Steve scored well on Wednesday & TJ scored his usual points for Kings Lynn last night. Even Ully had a decent night having 3 wins in his first 3 rides. -
Ipswich v Peterborough 22/08/2019
IronScorpion replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
similar situation to last year when promotions decided to change race nights to suit riders (GP's) etc who were not at the AGM which then caused a problem for guest availability later in the season which was not picked up as a possible problem when riders became injured(part of the course) -

There isn't one. Should be an unattatched rider similar to what we had at Edinburgh in the KO Cup when Garrity's van broke down, apparently. Danny Phillips, also, broke down this week en route to the IOW where the reserves covered his rides. -

He will be at Scunthorpe -
Well, someone said he had his kevlars on & now he has had 3 wins from 3 rides so must have eaten something nice.

Berwick v Eastbourne Championship 17/08 @ 7pm
IronScorpion replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think it is something along the lines of if a rider can not take his place in a re-run, then it is another top rider. An exclusion through tapes or 2 minutes brings in a reserve. -
"Attack the post, not the poster" Are the Mods really moderating this stuff? Thought it was a Glasgow thread with news!

Well, that is what has happened. Cook has supplied new evidence & is now free to ride until a full SCB hearing at a date to be set. Vissing has had his rejected so is banned for his full 10 days. Kennett has not submitted an appeal.
-
Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.
IronScorpion replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Going by the rules broken as stated & the reasoning behind the bans, Cook got away with it at the 4's so I think the bans are too close. Possibly 6 or 8 for Vissing & Kennett. -
It is the 28th for re-declaring but an injured rider can return after this date.
-
I do not think we will go down that route as he has a current Premiership club so will come on a converted PL 4.78 average of 7.17 for the Championship.
