...and what a surprise...

Loans and Transfers 1. Tier 2 Migrants may only be initially employed by their Licenced Sponsor, however, if the Tier 2 Migrant is no longer included in his Licenced Sponsors 1-7 he may be loaned to another club for inclusion in another 1-7 so long as he is still under contract with his Licenced Sponsor. The Licenced Sponsor must maintain direction, control and the appropriate records.

Leicester V Coventry Emb 15 03 2015 12:00 Start
Alan_Jones replied to TMW's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My first visit to Leicester and I enjoyed it. A tidy little stadium and more passing than I've seen at meetings at some other tracks, certainly a lot better than the meeting I saw on the betting feed last season. I didn't think it was very cold, but the wind made it uncomfortable to watch from the home straight, whereas it was quite OK sheltered on the back straight. It's just a pity that they didn't book an EL team to provide the opposition... -
Warren Scott has mentioned it as a possibility at some time in the future.

You should write a book about it...

3 training school 3 pointers complete the team as expected. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.28440

It could, but that's not what it says. Throw money at it?

Nice as it is to have clarification of the new rules, it's speedway, so there are still questions and contradictions. I'm surprised that with all the non-compliance that caused the current situation the time frame for qualification has been relaxed to 2 years, which is what lets Holder and presumably Manzares now qualify. I assume that the National/State qualification criteria remain the same, as the GBE page is still on the BSPA web site with reference to 2009 removed, and this becomes the Appendix 1 that is referred to in the new Sponsored Migrants Policy, although it still currently shows the qualifying averages as 4 & 7. Tier 2 holders only being able to guest within the league in which they are contracted but also being able to double up seems to be a contradiction. It's also surprising that Tier 5 visas are now a valid option whereas in the recent past the UKVI rules restricted the BSPA to Tier 2 sponsorship only. I'd assumed that the granting of Tier 5 visas last year was just a quick fix for riders that had been caught out by the change in application rules. At least we're a bit wiser than we were, but there are still one or two riders that are going to have a worrying few weeks and, ultimately, disappointment.

Ben Morley (3.00) replaces Richard Hall at Redcar.

Trelawney's in the Tower...
-
Indeed, he's ridden about 60 PL matches over the past few seasons.
-
I did.
-
Indeed. Obviously it depends on the 2 scores reinstated at the start of the rolling sequence but it's likely to be more than the 13 from 10 being dropped.
-
His 2014 CMA would go up from 8.55 to 8.99 & his rolling average would be similarly affected.

Nothing to do with loyalty or number of clubs. A journeyman is someone who, with a reasonable amount of experience, reaches a mediocre level of success with little evidence of potential improvement. Correct in this case and many others where it's used.

Whoops! Yes, brain fade on Harrison, Henry I don't know about.
-
If the previous 2 seasons were to count, this is how I see it panning out; The Probables* Smith 2013 average Manzares surely not 2013 Western States (1st)? otherwise DNQ Davies 2013 average Holder 2013 NSW (2nd) The Refused Wethers DNQ Poole DNQ Campton DNQ Only placed in U21 state championships The Rest Henry DNQ Harrison DNQ Skidmore EU passport? * according to their prospective promoters
-
The only way I can see it working is if they're now taking the previous 2 seasons into account, but I haven't checked it out rider by rider yet.
-
No, that changed in 2005/6 when it dropped from 8 to 7.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
Alan_Jones replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I've had a quick look at the ILR application process & Tier 2 visa holders who've been here for 5 years, with less than 180 days/year away, and are still employed & paid fully are eligible. -
That's a very generous interpretation of "The Bears will be hoping the new addition comes in on an average that would keep 2014 South Tees Silver Helmet winner Jan Graversen at reserve."
