It's an accepted mitigating circumstance within the regulations & was obviously going to be leapt on by the straw clutching legal team.

Ya think? There's still Ward's statement on the statement to come and I'm sure the Poolerati can spin out plenty of hearts & flowers stories to have us weeping for the poor misunderstood lad for months to come.

The stop opposite Sainsburys is near a pedestrian foot bridge over the main road. -
It's looking that way. Can only be a good thing even though, the way our season's going, they'll probably be moved to dates reserved for later progress in various competitions,
-
Ah yes, didn't notice that because it's also still shown on the original double header date as well. The two August double headers are still unchanged.
-
Yes I saw that. It was announced on the Raiders site that Mildenhall will be unavailable to speedway on the 9th August so the home match is moving to that date. It may well be the start of a move away from double headers but that's the only one so far.
-
Which fixture list? Double headers still showing on Rockets, Raiders & BSPA sites.

It takes about half an hour and there are several buses that go to Marsh Mills Sainsburys which is a short walk from the track. -
Too many times in the recent past promoters have eagerly jumped on an apparent easing of a regulation, without question, when they really should have been investigating, to the nth degree, whether that really was the situation. Surely everyone knows by now that averages, for the purposes of regulation, are rolling GSAs without bonus points.

...and if they didn't then they're dumber than dumb.

It does. -
Either way, use of said visa was deemed temporary.
-
It's his 6.68 rolling GSA that counts. The rules were already relaxed to give him a chance and, as SCB has pointed out, he's not done himself any favours to achieve the necessary. The correct alternative would have been not to have issued the temp visa in the first place.

The first 15 heats took 35 minutes. In most cases the 2 minutes was on before the last rider was in the first bend after the flag.

It probably seemed a good idea at the time of the takeover, to someone new to the business, to split the work load. As we've since found out, one side is prepared to cooperate, the other not so. Not really a surprise to those that are aware of events following the reintroduction of speedway to the stadium. -

Unfortunately, for those home fans that stayed on for the 2nd sixth, the first match was overshadowed by later events. I fully expected to see 2 losses on the day so was pleasantly surprised by the result. Highlights for me were Ed's brutal 1st heat re-run 2nd bend where he seemed to be trying to ride both Rebels' bikes on his way through, and Kasper's efforts all through the meeting. Next match we edge closer to a full team with the birth of Robin's son now confirmed. -

A ticket for £5 off any meeting this or next season or, for the benefit of Eastbourne supporters, a fiver in your sky. For some reason I was handed the fiver. -

No more than they've had to, stubbornness and he needs an experienced co-promoter until the end of the season. I feel really sorry for Warren, he's bought into a far steeper learning curve than he expected. I'm sure he was expecting to be dealing with Plato v. Turkington this season and not Silver v. Silver. When Andrew took on the Raiders on condition that he had sole control I'd assumed the agreement was with Len but it now looks like Warren was for and Len against. Both Raiders only tracks have been well prepared by Andrew. I originally said that I'd give them one more chance on Monday with afternoon meetings but was prepared to give a 2nd "last chance" with the change to 5pm for the 2 June Sunday meetings. It now depends on whether a satisfactory answer is found to the family feud. -

Andrew always does the track for the Raiders which is why we've had 2 decent Raiders only meetings. He's done enough training school tracks to know how far to go in terms of rideability for the less experienced riders. We had a couple of seasons of mainly decent tracks until Len got involved with Kent. I don't think the track will ever be back to its best until they rip up the tarmac & get back to a proper base.
