  1. Accepted LT although not needed Did John Lennon REALLY say that, what a horrible phrase :!:
  2. It might just give them the boost that they need, in an ideal speedway world everyone would have the chance to ride for their country as a team not just as an individual
  3. who by??? i'll bloody nut 'em  Excellent post Honey could just imagine you saying that as you was typing it out ........... by the way it was me, it's always me, no-one else can get away with it but me but then you know me well enough to know that I am joking with you, hopefully anyway
  4. Dean Barker / David Norris they came 2 & 3 respectively in the GB Championship so why not?
  5. It was just a remark regarding his riding in the GP, maybe a few more smilies wouldn't have gone a miss there then it would have been taken as it was meant to be taken is that enough :?:
  6. No one offered to jump into My Uncles boots all those years ago when Phil Crump ran over his head and knocked his teeth out. so my answer would be not a chance thanks but no thanks You really don't know Addict & Kev, they are not like that at all, like someone has already said they are probably two of the most sensible posters on here. (sorry it had to be said, even if I get told off for it )
  7. Blimey that's not a quote I would use for anyone I'm afraid. Maybe I'm not most people
  8. After Marks performance in the GP tonight maybe he should re consider pulling out of the WC he rode fantastic considering he is only in his opinion 65% fit
  9. Chuffed to little mint balls for Scott tonight xx excellent racing kept us in the forum chat room going for a while anyway xx Well and of Course Well xx
  10. wooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo go Scotty !!!!!!!!!!!!! Unlucky Grumpy I mean Crumpy, next time check your own fuel someone knobbled ya m8
  11. I must admit, Gary Havelocks comment on Nikki P was naughty, when he said someone had fallen off because of Nikki "Up to his tricks again". Completely unfounded comment but no apology just a wee bit of egg on his face next time he meets a Pedersen fan
  12. LMAO @ LT That is soooooooo funny
  13. Very Brave, only for the fact that he is risking everything for the sake of a Grand Prix ........ not very sensible especially if he has been advised against it. I wish him all the luck for tonight and hope he finishes 2nd to Mark Loram at the end He looked very uncomfortable after his second ride, holding his back.
  14. OMG as soon as I saw that name steve, I came over all hot & bothered can I come out now :?: has he gone :?: lmao Is this Graham in the juniors :?: , wondered as he was also in the Scurry heats. Many thanks for sharing the meeting results, was good to see some names from "Years Gone By" even if you have just aged me more than I had hoped
  15. I'd like to see a Brit at long last on the podium. So in no particular order 1. Mark Loram (last name pronounced correctly of course ) 2. Scott Nicholls 3. Who cares the we got 1 & 2 :!: (lots of smileys, so people realise I'm not serious there )
  16. Barney Kennett & les Rumsey complete Nutters from Canterbury! Kelvin Mullarkey & Ashley Pullen complete Nutters from Rye House!
  17. Sad when things like this happen, bet it scared you. Back in those days of speedway if that had happened to someone like hmmmmm for instance Kelvin Mullarkey (although not in the same league as Bruce Penhall obviously:!: ) I feel sure he would have got out of his van and had a punch up! He was a right character along with the Late Ashley Pullen.
  18. LT I was telling my Dad about your posting @ the weekend he thought it was hilarious
  19. When I was a "Young" fan, the highlight of my year would be to go to Wimbledon for the National League Riders Championships, unfortunately My Uncle never actualy won but all three times he attended he was on the rostrum which to me was just as good as winning....... I could never speak for ages after all the shouting and screaming for "Uncle Ted" and I think Mrs Moon (Excellent Canterbury Fan) was just as bad too! I can remember the last time he rode there and as the riders came round the track in soft top cars with some ol' Slappe oops I mean pretty girl I shouted out to him, he looked over said "Hiya Shazz" I was so proud of him (god I'm nearly in tears here writing this :!: ) this girl next to me said "is that your real Uncle?" I just turned to her and said "yep, My Uncle, My Hero". Those were the days, can I have them back please :?:
  20. Not sure on the above statement :? :!: On the track excellent riders but personal lives nothing to do with us :!: and just because they didn't ride for Coventry isn't a good enough reason not to rate them
  21. I went all cold when I read that bit, what a nice thing to say.
  22. Lmao @ you LT, you really liven my day up!
  23. Well to be honest Kev, I would have put Marks' name first on the list, (You know I would ) as this is in the "Years Gone By" I thought it best to just stick with the heros of my Childhood. Rest assured though in a few years time I will add Mark to my all time heros' list I was even tempted to squeeze him in just before Uncs' name but someone would bound to have picked up on that
