Just thought the meeting was lacking something, yes there was some excellent racing but I wouldn't say it was the best GP so far. -
Well Done Trick
shazzybird replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I know I'm not Steve but can I answer this one please? Answer to Question 1:- Yes loads of meetings a lot more exciting that this, some poor decisions from the referee inc. the race where the tapes were slower one end just after they hadn't worked properly. Some really good racing with some excellent passes but even I said in the updates forum I thought the meeting was a bit flat (hence the vodka flowing) compared to others. Answer to Question 2:- Yep me too, I'm gutted that "God" as you put it didn't win (only for the sake of #2 son who incidently fell asleep halfway through, so what does that tell you about the meeting) yet it does makes the next meeting more appealing to watch seeing as it's not quite sewn up but by the end of the next GP it could well be Scottie Nicks rode his steel shoe off and it was nice to see his regular mechanics with him for the GP. Unfortunately it's always the best us Brits can do.... the semis, never mind there's always next time (a quote we are getting used to ) -

MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO POLAND xx We may have have finished 4th in the World but I have really enjoyed this WTC even though been sat at home watching it have had a wonderful time on the Live-Updates many thanks to Fozzie, Sue and all the other mods for hosting xx None of the lads let us down they all rode their steel shoes off, some dodgy decisions but some excellent entertaining racing from all riders during the series xx
