  1. Poland 1. Karol Ząbik 2. Paweł Hlib 3. Krzysztof Buczkowski 4. Mateusz Szczepaniak 17. Adrian Gomólski Team GB 5. Edward Kennett 6. Daniel King 7. Lewis Bridger 8. James Wright 18. Tai Woffinden Germany 9. Tobias Busch 10. Richard Speiser 11. Max Dilger 12. Kevin Woelbert 19. Frank Facher Czech Republic 13. Lubos Tomicek 14. Filip Sitera 15. Matej Kus 16. Hynek Stichauer 20. Martin Gavenda Whatever Tai decides in future years, he IS the British U-18 Champion and deserves to be there possibly ahead of James Wright, but Wright has more EL experience.
  2. 2 Swedes - 2 Poles and 2 English riders have to be in the line up. Seems Mildenhall07 has the same 15 Emma Louise = If both Greg and Leigh finish, which is unlikely (especially Leigh), then Hampel or Jagus gets the one place (or two)
  3. If you count Holta as a Norweigan, maybe you should count Bristol born Crump as an Englishman
  4. With one round to go, so far we know Nicki Pedersen, Leigh Adams, Jason Crump, Neils K Iversen, Lukas Dryml and Bjarne Pedersen will take six of the fifteen places. It would be unthinkable that Tomasz Gollob and Hans Andersen will miss the top eight, so thats now eight out of fifteen secured. This leaves three automatic places left with Hancock, Harris, Nicholls, Holta, Jagus, Jonsson and Hampel all capable of filling those three spots. 187 Nicki Pedersen 142 Leigh Adams 109 Jason Crump 100 Tomasz Gollob 98 Hans Andersen 90 Greg Hancock 87 Chris Harris 83 Scott Nicholls 81 Rune Holta 75 Wieslaw Jagus 70 Andreas Jonsson 67 Jaroslaw Hampel 66 Bjarne Pedersen 48 Matej Zagar 31 Antonio Lindback Zagar and Lindback will be out, making way for Iversen and Dryml, but will there be any riders not in the current series that could get a nomination ? Fredrik Lindgren - The first rider in the queue has to be the 22 year-old Swede who scored 21 points in his two appearances this season, including one Final place. With Sweden, like England and Poland having to have TWO riders in the Series, Lindgren and Jonsson should be 2 nominations. Harris and Nicholls will both be eligable for a nomination should one of those two fail to qualify, while Rune Holta will get a nomination (ahead of Hampel) if he fails to make the top 8 So the Final 15 for 2008 are Seeded 01 Nicki Pedersen 02 Leigh Adams 03 Jason Crump 04 Tomasz Gollob 05 Hans Andersen 06 Greg Hancock 07 Chris Harris 08 Nicholls or Holta Qualifiers 09 Neils K Iversen 10 Lukas Dryml 11 Bjarne Pedersen Nominations 12 Nicholls or Holta 13 Fredrik Lindgren 14 Andreas Jonsson 15 Jagus or Hampel The final place will be down to Poland/FIM to choose between Jagus and Hampel. Cant see Kasprzak getting in front of these two. Should Hancock finish 9th, then I would say Jagus and Hampel will both get nominated ahead of the ever present Greg. Anyone I've Missed
  5. With Norris, Barker and Andersson all retiring, your need is greater than ours just send Lewis in the opposite direction . . . . please
  6. Well Done to Scott for reaching the final 140,000 credits at 7/1
  7. Hate to say it but ........... Well Done Nicki who was not only the best rider on the night, but the whole year. Hope he puts a few more on the gates at Arlington next year
  8. SHOULD (?) any of the top 8 this year decide to pull out of next years competition, that place will be decided by a nomination, ity will not go to Lubos Tomicek who will be first reserve next year. Should any rider withdraw through injury after the 15 riders have been declared, then and only then will Tomicek be included but will still wear the #19 race jacket. SWEDEN; Andreas Jonsson and Fredrik Lindgren ENGLAND; Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls Regardless of positions this year, these will be in the 2008 line up.
  9. Always preferred Karl Maier myself due to his days at Birmingham. However Gerd Riss is an ex Wolf and like KM has won World Titles, so maybe he deserves another shot at the 100k. Due to results this year, I would have to say Tobias Kroner should get the place ahead of Smolinski (1st res) and Hefenbrock (2nd res) Any chance this will turn into a Norden 83
  10. If Hampel doesnt get a top 8 place, then he will get nominated. If KK gets a place it will be instead of Jagus or Holta. I would say Jagus would then lose out as Holta is the Norwexxx POLISH Champion. Remember Hampel missed 2 rounds
  11. Think this may well be the final place up for grabs and they wont want to go without Hampel 2008 01 Nicki Pedersen DK 02 Leigh Adams AUS 03 Hans Andersen DK 04 Jason Crump AUS 05 Tomasz Gollob POL 06 Greg Hancock USA 07 Chris Harris ENG 08 Jarek Hampel POL 09 Neils K Iversen DK 10 Lukas Dryml CZR 11 Bjarne Pedersen DK 12 Andreas Jonsson SWE 13 Scott Nicholls ENG 14 Fredrik Lindgren SWE 15 Jagus or Holta POL OUT = Zagar, Linback and Jagus/Holta However, does anyone get the feeling Greg Hancock may step down at the end of the season ? This would mean 4 Danes, 3 (or 4) Poles, 2 Aussies, 2 Brits, 2 Swedes, 1 Czech and (possibly) 1 American. This would then allow Jagus and Holta to both line up again.
  12. So which British rider will get nominated in front of him ? No one close to Scotty and Bomber so they will both be back in Zagar, Lindback and Holta/Jagus to go out Iversen, Dryml and nominated Lindgren the changes from this years line up.
  13. Neils K Iversen Lukas Dryml Bjarne Pedersen keeps his place Will Fredrik Lindgren get nominated as the second Swede for 2008 ? Who will be out from this year ?
  14. What about heat 7 Nicholls, Andersen, Adams and Nicki.
  15. Cant see why Leigh will finish 2nd in the World with a few GP wins under his belt would call it a day. Think there are a few years left in him yet.
  16. There will also be 2 Danes, 2 Swedes, 2 Poles and 2 BRITS in the GP's and quite frankly there is no one close to Scott and Chris to replace them, so should both miss out, they will get in next season. Should Fredrik Lindgren fail to finish in the top 3 in the challenge, he should be nominated as the second Swede with AJ. Could be a close call, but think Bjerre, Kaszprzak and Lindgren should do enough to finish as top three with Iversen and Balinski close.
  17. Really needed Hampel to get past my other choice of Kasprzak to reach the final, but at least I'm still in there fighting in the top 10. Is there anything special planned for the final round, like naming four riders instead of two ?
  18. 1. Damian Baliński POL Would be ok in certain rounds like Poland and Sweden, but not much after that. 2. Tobias Kroner GER Do me a favour 3. Jonas Davidsson SWE Sweden reaches the final, 20 points from the other rounds. 4. Bjarne Pedersen DEN Will be a sad loss to the GP series if he fails here as he will be one of the three to go out along with Zagar and Linback. 5. Kenneth Bjerre DEN Home track advantage, but not GP standard yet. 6. Lukas Dryml CZE If he gets through they may opt for r/r instead. 7. Rory Schlein AUS Maybe this is a year to soon, but a contender to qualify. 8. Niels-K. Iversen DEN Has to be one of the favourites 9. Steve Johnston AUS Can just see it now, Heat 23 in Cardiff. Nicki Pedersen on gate one, Hans Andersen on gate two, Leigh Adams on gate three and from the outside . . . Johnno 10. Fredrik Lindgren SWE They will be praying he gets through this and into the GP's otherwise its hard to nominate him ahead of Holta, Hampel etc. 11. Rafał Dobrucki POL Not GP standard. 12. Lubos Tomicek CZE Will make Johnno look quick here, maybe try in a few years. 13. Kyle Legault CAN Improved but out of his depth here. 14. Renat Gafurov RUS Unpredictable, but will SKY want every GP delayed while the fix the air fence ? 15. Krzysztof Kasprzak POL Same as Lindgren. 16. Denis Gizatullin RUS Not in this league. Weird thing is, that the reserves would have more chance of qualifying than have this line up. Reserves 17. Piotr Protasiewicz POL 18. Charlie Gjedde DEN Hoping the top three are Lindgren, Kasprzak and Pedersen, but think Iversen or Bjerre will sneak in somewhere. Balinski a good outside bet
  19. 1982 - Bruce Penhall won the title - end of story Hang on a minute Yes Sam was fortunate to be back in as his chain came off going into turn one, however Sam was by far the best rider on the day and only Hans Nielsen was in the same class. Remember that Sam won the title after 4 rides and then failed to score in his final ride as he was already crowned World Champion. The only ever rider to do so. You say about Muller and his GM, what about Muller and his tractor. The guy was oprganising the track regrade at the interval, thats what I call a farce
  20. LIVE UPDATES LIVE MEETING - Ulamek, Sullivan, Pedersen, Harris, Drabik, Holta, Richardson, Adams, Gollob, Hancock, Jonsson, Kolodiej, Hefenbrock, Walasek, Dryml, Lindback
  21. Think they will be praying that Lindgren, Kasprzak and Bjarne finish in the top 3 as I can see 13 of this years line up being invited back as Lindgren and Kasprzak will be in the 2008 series for sure. Bye Bye to Lindback and one other ?
  22. It will have to be at Poole then as he wont be in the GP Series SS Think its partly age, but mainly the fact that the GP line up is possibly one of the strongest it has ever been with likes of Harris, AJ, Andersen, Holta, Jagus, Nicholls, Zagar and Hampel all still trying to finish in the top 8. Greg has a big safety cushion for the final two rounds, so he will finish in the top 8, but I cant see him being in the same position next year. Shame really as he has been a great rider over the years but the young riders are coming through with KK and Lindgren likely to enter the fold next season as well.
  23. Not the best GP to be held there as the Gollob moves were the highlight and they were edging on the lunacy line and rightly been excluded had there have been more contact in some of his moves like the dive under Nicki in the final. Tomasz may never be crowned World Champion due to the GP series as he cant ply his magic on every track, but when he can he is superb to watch. Nicki was possibly the best rider on show with 5 wins on the night and it took a move like that to defeat him. Now I'm no Nicki fan, but on the track he is proving this year to be the best in the world and will rightfully be crowned World Champion in 2007. PS; Thanks to KK for getting me some points in the GP game, but if you let Hampel through, you would have done me proud.
  24. Olympic Stadium - Barcelona Espanyol play here Was looked at in 2005 and was earmarked for 2007 or 2008. Where would you put a track in Wembley ? Cardiff will be here for sometime and the only track that could stand a chance of getting the British or European GP is Odsal, but alot of work would be needed to get it back.
