Polish Extraleague 2020
tellboy replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Halfway through and this has been an utterly rubbish meeting so far.Let's hope it improves drastically. -
I am beaming as a Lynn fan,but as i said in the SEC section this success may impact on whether we see him for Lynn next season. He deserves all the success he is having and you can't fault him for wanting to reach the top.I really hope he does even if it does mean he may miss riding for Lynn. C'mon MRC make sure he stays at Lynn with a big sponsorship

So pleased for Lambert.Being a Lynn fan and British of course i was so nervous watching that.He thoroughly deserved that,so consistent through the series and deserves his GP spot next season. While i'm so happy for him,i am also a little concerned he may have to give British speedway a miss from next season. You would expect him to have spots in Poland and Sweden+the GP's,that may be enough for him.I sincerely hope not,but he has to think of himself to go that next step up the ladder.

Can't see past Madsen tonight and overall unfortunately. With that rocket of a bike just can't see by him.Unless they put a mans track on tonight like the last one then i see the outcome differently. If there were a few ruts and plenty of dirt Madsen doesn't seem to like that, but Lambert wouldn't mind.C'mon Torun track prep sort it for the Brit boy

Most of what you have mentioned,in our little part of Britain it isn't the English that are doing the said things. -
They are selling tickets on their website for Belle Vue.
-
Well done Lambert,he certainly is riding very well so far this year.On a very poor track though.Madsen wasn't up for the fight on a difficult track. He seems to rely on a very fast bike rather than trying to negotiate a difficult track using a bit of skill and obviously needing big balls to do it. If Lambert finishes second to Madsen in the SEC,does he qualify for the GP's if Madsen finishes in the top 8 of that competition therefore automatically qualifying anyway
-
Dale Allitt seemed to suggest that has been put forward. So hopefully all teams will do it.King's Lynn certainly want to keep the same 7,and wasn't it Sheffield or maybe Ipswich that said the same.
-
Think you will find cityrebel is not on about cost at all. It's about the Government allowing crowds into stock cars but not speedway.
-
Unsure what you mean.i was sticking up for Ellis.
-
You're never too young
-
Well the same applies to Ellis anyway
-
So he has to stay indoors with a house full of cotton wool.Poor lad if manages to swallow a mouthful. The lad is only doing things almost everyone wants to do,and that is to have fun in life. That includes all sportsmen.
-
Mass gatherings, that never happens at speedway anymore in the UK unfortunately
-
I would think many, many sports people from football, boxing, cricketers to all sports people have a go at something they are not use to in their sporting life.I can't imagine they don't have a go at go-karting,kayaking,quad biking or any other dangerous thing that could affect their seasons. It's not just speedway riders.
-
Haven't we all done something that could affect our livelihoods. We are speedway fans we must have done something in our lives that has a hint of danger about it.
-
Doing something for charity wasn't he,i see nothing wrong in that.
-
I like your idea, but i kind of disagree about the age group and social distancing.I do deliveries to many households now and the worst people for social distancing are the older generation. They always seem to want to get close and chat.

A bit more encouraging.fingers crossed. THE board of directors at the British Speedway Promoters Ltd were encouraged by the significant easing of restrictions announced on Thursday. Oliver Dowden MP, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, revealed how grassroots team sports can resume from this weekend. Sports will need to publish specific guidance approved by government officials. Members of the British Speedway Promoters Ltd have, in the last two weeks, been working on how our sport can work safely for competitors, officials and spectators alike. We believe the biggest risk to riders is the natural danger element of racing motorbikes with no brakes. Clubs have already been planning how social distance measures can be taken for spectators and again we must emphasise speedway venues rarely host capacity attendances. Grassroots team sports inevitably include a small spectator element and we believe we are within touching distance of our sport being able to start a reduced season. However, we acknowledge the clock is ticking and if we cannot begin league racing in August there is every chance the season will run out of time. We thank all British Speedway supporters for their patience and understanding and wish to assure everyone we are doing everything within our power to start the season next month in a safe and enjoyable manner. We will update more as soon as further information becomes available.

You had better re-word your previous post on that then. You did make it sound like everyone was riding ok apart from Lambert and Woryna. -
All in the hands of the government of course. Now you are allowed back in pubs and restaurants i can't see no reason why we couldn't go back to speedway in this country. Can easily social distance and in the open air too.Imo your more likely to get covid inside a pub/restaurant than you are attending a speedway meeting.
