  1. Haven't we all done something that could affect our livelihoods. We are speedway fans we must have done something in our lives that has a hint of danger about it.
  2. Doing something for charity wasn't he,i see nothing wrong in that.
  3. I like your idea, but i kind of disagree about the age group and social distancing.I do deliveries to many households now and the worst people for social distancing are the older generation. They always seem to want to get close and chat.
  4. A bit more encouraging.fingers crossed. THE board of directors at the British Speedway Promoters Ltd were encouraged by the significant easing of restrictions announced on Thursday. Oliver Dowden MP, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, revealed how grassroots team sports can resume from this weekend. Sports will need to publish specific guidance approved by government officials. Members of the British Speedway Promoters Ltd have, in the last two weeks, been working on how our sport can work safely for competitors, officials and spectators alike. We believe the biggest risk to riders is the natural danger element of racing motorbikes with no brakes. Clubs have already been planning how social distance measures can be taken for spectators and again we must emphasise speedway venues rarely host capacity attendances. Grassroots team sports inevitably include a small spectator element and we believe we are within touching distance of our sport being able to start a reduced season. However, we acknowledge the clock is ticking and if we cannot begin league racing in August there is every chance the season will run out of time. We thank all British Speedway supporters for their patience and understanding and wish to assure everyone we are doing everything within our power to start the season next month in a safe and enjoyable manner. We will update more as soon as further information becomes available.

  6. Lambert too knew where Sayfutdinov was in ht 1 and 15.Was that 2-1 to Lambert Really hoping to see some action here in the UK so i can watch the return to form of Lambert around the NA.
  7. You had better re-word your previous post on that then. You did make it sound like everyone was riding ok apart from Lambert and Woryna.
  8. All in the hands of the government of course. Now you are allowed back in pubs and restaurants i can't see no reason why we couldn't go back to speedway in this country. Can easily social distance and in the open air too.Imo your more likely to get covid inside a pub/restaurant than you are attending a speedway meeting.
  9. I'm sure the government don't pay that much for jobseekers allowance.
  10. Just use simple maths between the two economies
  11. In the UK your average earnings are about 3 times of that in Poland. So logically thinking you would pay roughly 3 times more for things in the UK than you do in Poland.
  12. I'm sure he did wear the inflatable jacket. He has been pretty trim for a couple of years now.
  13. Maybe he has the knack of getting rubber on rubber which would offer you plenty of grip.
  14. I won't watch Polish speedway as i feel they are trying to dictate to others. They seem to be trying to ruin speedway in other countries to benefit themselves.
  15. Thought they had finished greyhounds all together and were exploring other avenues.370 metres would be a good size track.
  16. Bottom left looks like Clint Eastwood to me Steve
  17. I would think sport to the respective governments means much to them, they will be thinking of how much taxes they will be losing without it.
  18. It was Morten Andersen i think who would have been riding at that time. Edit: Bagpuss just beat me to it.
  19. Answer to question number one will depend on how many people still have a job or have not had hours cut.
  20. In response to my own question. It won't start on time imo.But if we lose a couple of months at the start of the season why can't we go back to the old days and run up to the end of October.Push the play-offs into a couple of weeks rather than how it is spaced out now.I'm sure the clubs could survive like that. The only problem that may arise is how many months they could lose due to the virus. If it's a couple i think they could survive, anything longer and it could become a serious problem.
  21. i would expect so to as he has signed for them.Probably not in March though
  22. Like on another thread i started,i can't see the season starting on time.It will be guests galore if it does start on time.
  23. Personally i can't see it starting on time myself.Coronavirus has got a grip now and i think we have to let it pass. Having just seen Poland has banned any foreigners entering the country as of Sunday. This will have a big affect on speedway as a whole too. Wishing everyone to stay fit and healthy ready for whenever the season does start.
  24. No Kildemand at P&P,i didn't see him?Is he self-isolating?
  25. Pretty sure it's him as he did mention about being an Estate Agent once. Good on him from being a supporter for many years and then sponsoring the Stars.
