  1. Normally go to watch Lynn at Leicester especially on a Saturday. This one though looks a big no no in my book, and there was me thinking we only need 2 guests and R/R for Jorgensen,Toft and Auty. Why do we have 5 missing?
  2. DWP did say "i believe",so probably wasn't 100%.I hope he was on borrowed stuff, because you would think he would go better on his own equipment .It was definately his own covers though.
  3. Are you sure about THJ on borrowed machinery. It was definately all his covers.
  4. And as i quoted you before,if the track was that bad your number one would have been the first one to do a runner. Seems like you would be quite happy to see another club fold.
  5. If the track was dangerous Andersen would have been the first one to have his say.
  6. Well Starlady that was poor tonight, racing wise. And no the racing tonight wasn't better than normal. I think Buster was up against tonight ie making a decent racetrack.Didn't he say he was worried about the weather, and didn't put a lot of water down.Which is why it was dusty after heat 1.He obviously didn't put much dirt down, again because of the weather report. You only had to look in the centre to see how much shale was possibly going to be put down. This would have suited our riders better now the Aussies have gone. On to our new recruits, only Auty imo came out and done what we expected.Hoping Jonasson and Toft will pick up with a few more meetings under their belts.Mind you as i said the track didn't help them tonight.Jorgensen and Huckenbeck rode well.Lambert as was said carrying an injury, why they put him in ht15 i don't know when carrying an injury. Most Swindon riders trapped well and stayed there and fully deserved their victory. Now onto Leicester with guests needed.I would probably go for Kerr for Auty and Tungate for Jorgensen and r/r for Toft.
  7. Thought Douglas was Australian and not rode or even eligible to ride NL.
  8. This is pretty much what i was going to put in reply to lisa-colette.There's a transfer deadline so you can up to that point. You can't put a transfer deadline at July 31st but the changes must be notified a week earlier because you would still have the same scenario, just a week early.
  9. Not far out with those proposed changes i think. There is always riders stopped from earning a living in British speedway.Look at the number of riders dropped from teams this season.Just because they have a week,a month or maybe more to get another team it doesn't mean they are going to get employed again. Say Lynn let Holder and Batchelor go with a day spare.Poole then sign them, where would this leave someone like Kennett and Andersen. It's got to end somewhere and this season it was at Lynn. They have not been stopped from earning a living,i take they are still earning decent money in Sweden and Poland, unless they have been dropped there too. Maybe The BSPA should come up with a rule that the team you start with at the beginning of the season should be what you end with also. This would stop all arguments concerning these sort of situations.Barring long terms injuries of course,of which then you could have a replacement. But hiring and firing riders at will is a common thing now in speedway.Being a Poole fan you should know this anyway
  10. So your not making your long awaited return then .Can't you give the weather a little longer, you never know, you live very local. One thing is if Batchelor and Holder were still in the team the match would have been called off by now with that shower we had
  11. Remember him basically get a meeting called off at Lynn last year,or year before by refusing to come out when other riders were at the tapes.Pretty much the same as what Holder done.
  12. I want Doyle to win the World Championship, because he deserves it after last year. But he can whinge with the best of the Aussies.
  13. Must admit a bit deflated by the changes.Ok they will give their all which is all you can ask i suppose. But ultimately i like to see Lynn have the best chance of winning matches. The new guys will be entertaining, hopefully they can couple that with race wins as well and things will be rosy Was going to Leicester on Saturday looking unlikely now with most riders missing according to an earlier post. I guess Starlady will be making her long awaited comeback to the terraces on Wednesday
  14. Lambert has pulled out of ht 13 for Newcastle tonight after another fall.Hope it's just precautionary as we probably won't have a team Wednesday night.
  15. Why?At least those ones there today want to ride.
  16. There's normally about a week between riding the required amount of matches and then attaining the new average.
  17. Maybe you should ask Ford this, because he assumed Poole would sign him on a 5.5 for next season.
  18. Ok,Holders made a mistake.Like Trees said time to move on get him back to where we know he should be and make the play-offs.Before anyone wants to slate me again, some of the older generation on here who is slating Holder need cast their minds back. How many chances did Lee get,and i bet he wouldn't have got half the flak Holder has got.Lee was a law unto himself but people but up with it because he was so good.Shouldn't make any difference though. How many wanted Lee out of the team back then? and he probably pissed Lynn about 10 times worse than Holder.
  19. I must be reading this differently, but KK wasn't in their declared 1-7 last season.I thought this would stand against riders like Holder who was in the 1-7(unsure)
  20. I was merely trying to point out the fans wouldn't stay away if the team was successful,no matter what sort of meeting the track gave us.Because back then there were some very poor meetings because teams were beaten before they got there. So i think that part was relevant to people staying away.
  21. Bloody hell, wished i had never started this thread now.So much negativity on here is unbelievable. So what if it is part of the BT deal(not seen evidence of that yet though). It's still £10 so stop the bloody moaning. You have seen so many posters saying the sport is only a £10 sport, now people are moaning because it's meant to be part of the BT deal,so what, who cares any incentive is welcome is it not.
  22. Just thought i would get this one going very early i know. And before anyone jumps on my back i know we have a home meeting against Swindon before then. But i couldn't believe i have just seen on the BSPA site it's a tenner for adults, yes £10.This is what we have all been waiting for isn't it. C'mon Starlady, you can open those purse strings now and grace us with your attendance .
