I have said the same about Bailey. His gating is atrocious, you need to be able to gate now and again to get some points. He hasn't earnt a real point yet.He needs imo to stick to the championship and NL get some gating skills together then give it another go.At the moment he is the poorest of no 7s in the league imo. Danyon Hume and JPB look better prospects at the moment but they both ride Wednesdays, but maybe alright for away meetings or the occassional home meeting we have that isnt on a Wednesday. On a side note it's good to see King's Lynn allowing rain off tickets to be used for re-admission to any league match for the rest of the season.Having a chat with Rob last night and he clarified this and so did Nathan via email. This is another little step forward i believe.

Rye House V King's Lynn 15/04/17

No it's not hard setting up bikes, but to get it spot on for various surfaces,grippy/slick starts track sizes etc is.Sprocket sizes, clutch set up.It could take several races to get it where you want and it don't always work out. For Porsing last night he gated very well and this was so very important.Whoever hit the front last night won the race. -

Well disappointed with not being able to pick up a point, but after the first 4 races i thought it was going to be a right hiding. After not being back at Rye since Lynn were in the old PL i was expecting a much better track but this didn't happen. It was very much FTG.Gate 4 so advantageous early on.Had to win the toss and take 2/4 in ht1.3 out the first 4 won from gate 4 only one who didn't was Bailey(expected). Very disappointed with Holder tonight for an out and out number 1 we need more from him.Lambert with the track very much a gating game was always going to suffer a bit.Rose and Batch done their jobs and Porsing more than done his.Huckenbeck apparently hurt his arm, think it was in the race where Branford came a cropper.Bailey really has to start gating somehow to get some points on the board. Anyway onwards and upwards it gets easier on Wednesday night when we entertain the the Aces -

At least the weather looks better for this one than the one tonight. Don't suppose Rye will accept the tickets from tonight if i give them the extra £1 . Anyway hoping the Stars keep it tight and gain an away point.Hoping our top 3 will get at least 30-35pts between them then that should give us a chance.Don't think Rose and Porsing have done well there and i'm guessing Huckenbeck has never seen the place. And i don't think Bailey is likely to get a point. This is why i think we really do need our top 3 to score the amount of points i mentioned. -

Oh right, didn't realise that's how it worked.Just thought as he signed for Scunthorpe first they had first dibs. -

Time To Make A Switch Before New Averages....

I do think the 1-6 do have improvement in them. But for young Josh i really think he should spend another season in the championship before he makes the step up to the PL.He really has got to improve his gating,he is constantly 10m or more behind going into the 1st bend. -

They did say they wanted him to share the no7 birth. Before the season i did say i felt we should have tried to get as close to the points limit as possible.Being over a point down on that i think is not a good decision. Didn't realise Hume rode for Brum,my bad. -

Think Lynn should try and strengthen up at no7 if possible. They have 3.31 to play with.Never seen Hume ride, but he does get some decent scores for Ipswich at times.Maybe he could do a job.Don't think Bailey will score to his average simply because his gating is terrible. -
Leicester V Poole 8/4/17 Ela
tellboy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know riding on grass isn't quite speedway, but if you've seen him on grass you would know he can definately handle a speedway bike. He's been pretty awesome when i have seen him race on grass.Hopefully his girlfriend tells him not score to many points against Lynn unless of course she's changed her allegiance from Lynn to Poole -
Well Lynn and Rye renew their rivalries from a few years back.I'm sure there will be plenty of Lynn fans in attendance 1st/2nd bend. After their loss at home tonight i think the Stars can pinch a point, although Branford will be back in the Rye side i assume. Will Bailey be riding as Scunthorpe have a meeting,if not i would try to get Shanes to replace him. Has the adverse camber bends 1/2 gone? Looking forward to returning to Rye House speedway where we have had some good days but also so some very bad ones.Is the fish and chips still up to scratch.
