  1. Pub,football and speedway updates for me.With the disjointed fixture list the way it is,waiting another week isn't going to hurt.
  2. Good result for the Stars. But we still need some points from our no7.This can only be damaging for Bailey's progression in the sport. His confidence must be shattered and you would think stepping down would only help him progress. It's good being up against better riders but to be scoring nothing each meeting must be soul destroying.
  3. It's great to have memories like that, because they were indeed some great times. Those Dutch lads were tall, but then they were all tall to me.I do remember Mark being asleep most of the time during Sunday's racing,he was sat in the seats on the start/finish line wasn't he.Obviously well hung-over from the night before.Marky boy,i haven't heard that in quite some time.
  4. You were back then when we had a grippy track and a solid fence.Riders have nothing to fear now. It's amazing since being back in the top league the so called top riders don't want a grippy track. But back then the so called lesser riders could handle it,but amazingly the top ones can't
  5. Now that would be fun .Dads army revisited
  6. I can certainly remember that night club, bit scary really when you look back at it.Although we must have had a few by then so we may had been feeling a bit braver than we normally would have been. Brilliant times, enjoyed my weekend trips to Gronigen for the Assen Ice Speedway.Remember beer mat flipping once with M.Loram in Tramps bar,i think it was called(Rusky will know). Was the hotel called the Dohlen(another one for Rusky).Great times and memories from some great trips abroad all thanks to the organisation and driving of our old friend Rusky.
  7. Me too, remember in Champs one night how Nigel Leaver raised money for a blown engine
  8. You've got it Trees, although i weren't single for part of it.Mind the missus enjoyed her times to.
  9. Now i know you.And you are right, those were the good old days.Alchohol, speedway, trips abroad=lots of fun.I remember being locked out of a cabin on a ferry once too, wonder who that was .Remember that huge pizza you got in Hamburg. Was you in the lift in Sweden when it got stuck in between floors momentarily, remember Wild Wayne being in it.It's all flooding back now. You wouldn't believe the fun we had back in the 90's.
  10. Remember that one mate.If i remember correctly we actually won that night with a Bobby Ott maximum.Forgive me though i can't remember who was in the car that night.I am assuming though you may be the one who gave me a raw hot dog at a barbeque at your place?
  11. Yes i remember the days i use to travel to almost every away match, unfortunately to watch us get beaten every time.Lets be honest our history on the road has never been the best.I can't really believe i done it, but then again i was younger then and seemed to have plenty of spare cash to do such a thing. As you get older our priorities change for many of us.
  12. You would like to think he would be worth the gamble on a 5.If Lynn could drop their average just a little bit i think you could get him in for Bailey.Unfortunately that would mean having to endure another loss which i don't like either.Or maybe a 55-35 loss at Swindon, and a 47-43 win at home to Rye would do it,i don't know. But Tungate can be a real pocket rocket on his day and i'm sure now he has been released he will be snapped up quickly by a PL and CL side.
  13. Bit peed off in truth.Don't like missing meetings because of work, but i have to miss this one to see my other sporting team in a final. I feel confident for the fact as you say we won't be playing at OT.
  14. Good luck to the Stars for this one,was hoping to use my programme from the first staging for this but unfortunately it now clashes with my other team trying to qualify for the Champions League via winning the Europa League.Up the pub for me. If i'm being honest i am hoping for a rain off,but i am being greedy. Going to be a tough one, everyone needs to be at the max to take all 3 points. Expect the Stars to make a change after this fixture providing the one at Swindon goes ahead.
  15. Freddie must have plenty of confidence in them,he bought 5 last year.
  16. It was this at the start of the season. The BSPA were hoping they would get plenty of takers i assume to bring the overall costs down. With Lindgren doing as well as he is you can only assume more riders will take this offer up.It would be interesting to know which riders use them now.I'm sure Porsing does,is Lambert still using them?
  17. So you would think they(BSPA) would just re-assess Hougaard and Wright to the average they have achieved so far. Thus they would easily fit Kerr in the side instead of Graversen.Afterall Wright is only 1 match away and Hougaard 2 away from achieving an average anyway. Can't see where riding these would make to much difference to their respective averages anyway.
  18. I like Adam but injuries and bad luck seem to have caught up with him.So imo it wouldn't be a good move.
  19. Years ago without the airfence Emil wouldn't have got up from that.
  20. I would assume the 5 riders that have done 8 matches will get their new averages, the other two will get theirs when they do 8.
  21. He would in a re-declararion of the side, but the riders still need a couple of more matches to attain their averages, some need 3.Graversen lives local to,so may come into their plans.
  22. Would do with a re-declaration of the side.Getting rid of Graversen for Kerr would still come in at under the 42pts.
