  1. What about for those that like me have to work until 6pm(sometimes),get home, showered out by about 7pm to the track at about 7.20-25.I would assume there are a few that live further than me that work until 6pm too.Anyway that's besides the point i still believe they should start on time. To me the turnstyle system has to be improved to get people in quicker. The times people wait because they have to let someone go past who has just paid at window 4 before they can pay at windows 1,2,3.The cashiers are sitting idle while people have to let those who have just paid go through the front of the other pay points. Can't they have a door put in one of the big gates at turn 3 or 4 and have people paying say the exact cash at these points to gain entry.Do we need the posh tickets that they have to print out,it may only take a couple of seconds but times that by 1500 people. Semion you said you cant remember waiting for the start in the 70's.My above points were better then, also we rode on a Saturday night and yes crowds were 4 times bigger then. But people were getting there early as not many people had to work on a Saturday until 5/6pm.Now your are probably getting so many people turn up at roughly the same time,as Wednesday is a work day. Maybe something to do with Wright taking him off in ht 7 in my view.
  2. Wont happen next Friday apparently. It will start on time regardless of whether fans are outside or not.
  3. There weren't any sun delays when Betts,Simmo,Lee,Jessup rode because they rode on Saturdays then.We all know the sun never shines on the weekends
  4. People blaming the promotion for long drawn out meetings, isn't it the refs job to move procceedings along
  5. I too would like a 7.30 start.Especially last season when i had to be at work for 21.45.
  6. Exactly what i said over a week ago.Belle Vues gain in Coventry's sad demise. We all know what KB is capable of,and he has some of the fastest equipment around coupled with the vast spaces at the NSS is a recipe for success.Well at home anyway.
  7. They are often watering the grass though 10 minutes before KO . Cant start until 19:45 as advertised, unless they change the advertised start time to 19:30 of course
  8. It's a great racetrack. If every track was like the NSS would more fans come back,i would like to think so. I mentioned about a week ago i thought Bjerre would love the big open spaces of the NSS,Guess on last nights performance that's correct so far.
  9. Or for him to lower it sufficiently to fit in at reserve at Lynn
  10. PP Winners King's Lynn .I'm pretty happy with that.Going by the qualifying scores it certainly seemed they deserved it.
  11. Don't count this one as what is the qualification criteria.Wolves won the play-offs and Belle Vue topped the league.Thought it would have been those two contesting it.
  12. I wasn't going by the King's Lynn coat of arms etc.I was just stating what i can remember from my earlier years. You have me self doubting now,we were gold and green weren't we.Assumed it was carried over from Norwich.
  13. Hope Shanes does well as my daughter is good friends with his girlfriend. But i i hope Poole win naff all
  14. Well i quite liked the look of them tonight. Why is blue and yellow our colours anyway, originally we were green and gold.To me the colour is irrelivant anyway as a team sport at least they will all look the same(once Holder gets his )
  15. This is true, work places do expect you to produce a product but they also expect you to do things safely and to stay safe.If we think something isn't safe to work on we will raise the issue and don't have to work on it until it is safe.Obviously the riders felt it wasn't safe to ride on the track and the bosses didn't put it right. I would hate a customer to come into our place and say"that machine is safe to run"and we then have to run it and someone gets mangled.
  16. To say someone is crap is poor really.Yes some riders are better than others but SL is not crap as you put it.I'm not a fan of Lambert neither but as i said to mates on Sunday all riders need some kind of praise for having balls big enough to race those bikes. Now on the other hand i would be crap on a bike doing about 10mph
  17. Surely the two managers were happy with the way it was going to be run else wouldn't one of them bought it up before the meeting started.Unless none of them actually knew the rules anyway.
  18. If you make changes after the first set of averages come out the team average goes down to 42.That could prove harder to replace him.Personally i would replace him now.He has to be replaced by a British rider who has rode or is eligible to ride in the NL so there won't be that many chose from anyway.I say get Kerr while you can.
  19. Yes i know that,i think he has been on his average from the lower league for a few seasons now.Poole were quite happy then but as i say it may now not be working quite as well with Newman's unfortunate injury.
  20. His average nearly 2pts to high. Lewis Kerr would be my bet.Are Poole paying a bit of a price for managing to keep Newman on a lowish average
  21. Think that only applies to a rider that has been introduced into a re-declared side. Unless it's a re-declared side.
  22. It is R/R for riders 2-5 as far as i am aware.Only allowed a guest if more than 1 rider is missing from 1-5.Although you are allowed a guest for the No1 if only he is missing.
  23. I certainly went to most and as GB said 99% of the time Lynn is as smooth as they come, even after stock cars the night before.
