The Difference In Attendances At Tracks

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO never, Orion would never agree with that.... -
Well done you, tell that to the thousands that got taken for a ride... Got the Uni No ?
-
Did ya, im sure he'l be thrilled with you !!!!

Greg Hancock, top bloke Scott Nicholls could be a real Ambassador for British speedway, Jason crump Antonio Lindback even Nicki Pedersen when he not riding a bike... Darcys a young man, and still very keen, he is maturing slowly it might take him a litlle bit longer than some anticipated to reach the top. Chris had that roughness eraticness knocked out of him when he joined us, he matured quicker than Darcy.
-
Sorry mate, misquoted, riders not keen on.
-
From my point of view i can't say i hate any one rider. But i do have riders im more of a fan of if you like. Greg proved himself to be a very ameanable bloke when he rode for us last year. ive always liked Chris from the days he rode for the IOW and Darcy has had an awful lot of bad publicity in the last few years, but really he is a good lad.The same as Antonio Lindback. I also have a lot of time for Kyle Newman, at the other end of the scale if you like, does all the right things, superb with sponsors and appreciates everything he gets, good with fans kids and parents come across very well still open to a lot of improvement if he can stay clear of any injuries.
-
The word Legend is very easily used nowdays, but that is what Greg is to speedway. Top man.

National press could help, but they don't.

Except the hotels take the piss. But then its probably one of few weekends they actually make any money, so you either pay it, or you don't. its called a captive Audiance. Track held up quite well, and im pleased to hear BSI spent a little bit, appart from the presentation twiddly bits the track is their stage, to a massive TV Audiance.
-
You could have got 10's generally last night !!!
-
Wishful thinking, that ain't gonna happen. The Cardiff Hotels make their money this weekend. That said, it really wouldn't hurt BSI to dangle a carrot or 6 at the fans, swings and roundabouts and all that..

Hope the Welsh National Anthem is sung by that Chap, very moving...

Whats Neil got to do with it?

Oh come on West Row misfit, everybody knows the man with the little black book is always right.. 35, 700
-
No go on, tell me, im all ears?? So you have 7 days or maybe even 5 to put a track in including take the grass up the fence airfence base shale whiteline startgate with electrics pack it and pray... which pray would be about right. Not much room for error then, small wonder its a bloody shambles. And you was one of many that moaned about it last year... nothing changes then.. Then you would say that wouldn't you, the same as you glossed over the problems last year, Phillip... I do hope it doesn't happen again this year, otherwise youl be bombarded... Including by the man with the little black book...
-
Were not talking weeks or months, we are talking a couple of weeks. To my knowledge Cardiff have had no events in the last week. If your going to do it, you do it properly. Now, just say its finished on Wednesday, then they have a problem, you have no time to rectifiy it and its been given no time to bed in.. Lay it 2 weeks in advance giving it a week to bed in, any problems that arise can then be rectified without running round like headless chickens.. Old saying fail to prepare prepare to fail..
-
Why? After the last GP they had two full clear weeks to sort it. It should have been laid by saturday, and given a week to bed in. If there is a balls up they have nobody else but themselves to blame. And i hope its shale, not sand based, and been under wraps. After last years debacle if its happens again the organisers will not be popular..
-
Hopefully. They had a clear two weeks from the last GP to prepare it. It can be done in four days, gives it over a week to bed in, if, they get it right... And we would like shale please, not sand... Brand new, shale or sand? Edit. Looks like im not going to get an answer to that question. Whatever it is, I hope it was covered this year...

He did, but he openly admits himself he retired to early.. When he was riding for Rye he was averaging 9.94 at No 4. That was in his teens, He now helps out a Poole Cycle Speedway, his son Arron rides for them. But i always said, he was a very good talent. who did, imo retire to early.
-
Kevin Smith. Should have been a far better rider than he was at his peak. Could have been in the Scott Nicholls Tai Woffinden bracket. Definately retired far to early. But there you go, hindsight and all that..
-
We need go no further... good post.. Thats a lovely compliment from a Swindon fan..Go to the top of the class pal..

Plymouth V Somerset Saturday 21st June
Starman2006 replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That a Referee's box and several mounds to stand on in the middle of a field overlooking the M5.. Oh,and single light stantions, they now have double. a ,lovely clubhouse with food outlet and terracing and a promotion that has ambition. Oh and there is still plenty of potential for development. And if the club ever got the PL or EL riders championship, it wouldn't be unjust. Hypocrite am I?, ok, if you say so... -

Really, and you can prove that, can you?? Why start the season if you are only happy with mid table. Somerset want to win the League, any other club who doesn't want that are cheating their fans. its called ambition.
