  1. Heard a rumour that is was going to be a four team tournament instead of the Scottish Open , but who knows . Anyway they've got other things to worry about tonight after getting pumped at home by Peterborough
  2. Both will be back by then . Both injuries are a result of the curse of the Peugeot Open invitation , so lets hope no more riders are named till next weekend
  3. Getting exciting now as , despite the annoying injury thing , we chase a top 2 finish . Fellow contenders , Peterborough , drag their patched up side to Smugville tonight , so they'll do well to get owt there . So we have a chance to gain some more ground on our rivals . It's actually a big week in the title chase , with the Smugs home and away with Peterborough and a fixture at Rye House in between , before heading to Somerset for the telly meeting and Somerset have a crucial looking northern tour next weekend . Anyway back to Sunday , weans get in for nothing this week , hopefully with the proviso of accompanied by a paying adult or it could get noisy . We have Josh Grajczonek guesting for Nick , and r/r for the unfortunate Kauko . Redcar have Kevin Doolan guesting at number 1 and Arthur Sissis guersting at number 7 , he could be troublesome from there . And of course it's a quick return for the French surrender monkey and his fragile confidence hmmmmmm. Hopefully we get an entertaining meeting as it doesn't matter if you win by 2 or 32 this season , so 2 will do .
  4. Cant see anyone other than Cook , King or Sheffield's Brady Kurtz winning
  5. Sorry I couldn't get down there , work's a pain . Good 4 points though see us closing in on a top 2 finish . Texter and updater saying Glasgow fans inappropriately booing Berge !!! What do they expect , little French twit
  6. There's a rider getting maimed on a daily basis it seems
  7. Looks a tasty enough meeting , lets hope they all make it there
  8. Risager was awful , expected better from him . Wright wasn't really a surprise . Fisher always rides Ashfield well , and he did again last night , while Holder got better as the night went on . The two reserves were solid enough and Pijper scored pretty much what Newman would have . Plymouth contributed to an entertaining meeting . Speedway in the evening under lights is definitely what is needed at Ashfield
  9. You honestly couldn't make this up
  10. I enjoyed that last night , especially heat 10 , best race I've seen at the track all season
  11. There have been some pleasantly surprising results in this year's league . Plymouth 48 Edinburgh 42 , Redcar 47 Edinburgh 43 , Edinburgh 42 Glasgow 48 to name but three , so anything can happen in the wacky world of Premier League speedway
  12. Plymouth are doing okay this season , on the verges of challenging for the play offs . Been some weird and wonderful results at various stages this season , so we don't take anybody for granted
  13. I know , but Fisher is still " The Great Satan " in these parts , Lewy , from his time along the M8
  14. Just been riding in his native Finland this season , as far as I can see
  15. Brilliant . Just the news to cheer us up after Nick got injured again riding for his other team
  16. No he replaces the French surrender monkey . Howe's replacement will follow soon
  17. ah widnae bother aboot it too much , we awe huv oor little problems with the English language at times
  18. To be fair , I left Tyretrax in the bar at the track , couple of hours after the abandonment , so the spelling of young Aaron's name is not unexpected
  19. Fair play to you guys , it's not a forlorn hope that you might even make the play offs . Shame our rescheduled meeting is on a Monday next week as any time the Devil's fans have come to Glasgow they've had a great time . Still congratulations on beating the whingers last night .
  20. So it's Hynek whatshisface who replaces the French surrender monkey , welcome Hynek , please stay fit
  21. Actually wasn't a bad meeting till the heavy rain intervened . One or two were unhappy when the meeting got stopped , but 5 mins or so after the abandonment it really came down . At the time the call off probably suited both sides , so we move on . But isn't Aaron Summers riding particularly well these days .
  22. That's standard when the Monarchs lose , wouldn't concern yourselves with that
  23. I can see it being as close as the telly match earlier in the season down at Peterborough . I'm off to the Horseshoe Bar now , better still be dry when I leave there
