Losing the will to live with speedway , rain off after rain off , this one's not riding as it's the Tunisian Best Pairs or something equally as trivial . Stadiums being used for the East Anglian tiddlywinks championship and someone just notices that we cant have the speedway 5 days before we're due to roll up . Really losing patience with it all

Cancelled my hotel and I can still use my train tickets from Ipswich to Peterborough and just head up to Scunthorpe from there . Scunthorpe v Rye House wasn't the meeting I wanted to see on Friday , but it's on my way home and better than kicking my heels in Peterborough .

As long as it isn't Tony Steele , he cost us the meeting last year

When did this come to light , it's been on the fixture list since January . So we've bought our train tickets online and booked our hotel , there's no other sport that treats it's fans as badly as speedway does

I've seen us at Ipswich twice , 2011 and 2014 , and have yet to see us lose there . A record I would like to continue when I go there on Thursday . As for Peterborough , I think we have riders who will enjoy that wonderful track . But back to the meeting at hand , without sounding like one of the smugs , this should be a straightforward home win . The Great Satan looks a pale shadow of his former self and I don't really see Risager , Newman or Simota seriously troubling our heat leaders . Be interesting to see how Holder junior does though

That can change , Elaine is doing it too . Big week coming up for us , scheduled 5 meetings by next Sunday evening . 11 points from that would be nice And a nice bonus of no annoying Elite League fixtures clashing with our two road meetings on Thursday and Friday
