  1. Trouble is , speedway tries these things with the best intentions , but invariably makes a pigs ear of it . We had a similar thing in the PL in 2006 where reserves were graded A , B and C and were supposed to be at reserve all season . Halfway through the season the governing body decided Steve Boxall and Jon Armstrong , might have been one or two more , were now too good to be at reserve so the thing was thrown into turmoil .
  2. So it now really boils down to who's luckiest with the rain
  3. People are sick of it . You cant expect neutrals to be enticed by half a team turning up , i read on another thread that Berwick could be without Vissing and Kus at Overtaking Nirvana next Friday night . We have the same nonsense against Somerset on Sunday with Pijper and Berge missing . Okay Berge has now since broke his wrist , but he would have been at some long track nonsense instead of riding for his team . There's too much of this crap now filtered it's way into the PL schedule , between that and doubling uppers not knowing exactly who they're supposed to be riding for - is it any wonder crowds are dwindling at an alarming rate .
  4. You can't say that about Overtaking Nirvana , it's sacrilege
  5. I'm pretty sure Dimitri has now done enough meetings to qualify as a Glasgow asset regardless of whatever the Dark Lord or any potential vultures might think . And time will prove young Dimitri will become France's best ever speedway rider
  6. every track has the potential to be a gaters track , even that overtaking nirvana in West Lothian they were probably too embarrassed to complain
  7. After nearly blowing the meeting on Tuesday , we're not too worried about what they're watching
  8. That's disappointing both for the lad and the club . It's bad enough when your riders get injured actually riding for your club , but when it's stuff like this it's hard to take
  9. Toughie this week as it's the Title challenging Rebels in town . No Dimitri as he is meant to be away riding in some long track nonsense at the weekend , but I've heard a worrying rumour that he's crashed and broke something during practice for the aforementioned nonsense . Added to that , Theo might also get a wild card into that rubbish and we've already got a three point man riding at number 1 . I fear a pumping on Sunday . Stranger things have happened I suppose , but it's not looking good for us I don't think .
  10. Don't be ridiculous , the forum should be fun too and if you can't have a bit of micky taking with your rivals at times , then it's a sad day . It's only when it crosses the line that it becomes unwelcome .
  11. Even Darcy Ward struggled when first encountering Armadale , so while Brady Kurtz looks an exciting talent , i'm not expecting too much from him tomorrow night . Nick Morris , Allen and Wright will provide the main threat , but i'm expecting the Monarchs home form to stand them in good stead and they should hit 50 at least .
  12. Ok , cheers Dick . Maybe it just looked different on the telly
  13. Not so sure about that . I was on the first bend , at Kings Lynn , with the Leicester fans the other week . And at the end of the meeting the Leicester riders to a man came out on the track and applauded their fans . Mind you they are newbies to that level
  14. You didn't i basked alone then , beer in hand and ABE t-shirt on
  15. Clinch the meeting before heat 15 and take the pressure off .
  16. True , to get a hard on about a slip of the tongue or a mistake by a commentator is pretty sad
  17. Losing Worrall at reserve has impacted greatly to Edinburgh on the road . They're still probably the best team in the league , but the gap has closed dramatically .
  18. There was movement at the start almost from heat 1 , Flint did nothing about it
  19. 5-1 in heat 15 gets Berwick's management team off the hook , well done Berwick
