Glasgow V Somerset Pl Sun Aug 17th 2014 @3p.m.

Anyway , i thought the racing today was top drawer stuff . Nick Morris especially , how he won heat 11 was unbelievable . We never expected to win today because unlike a place like Overtaking Nirvana , we just knew Brady Kurtz would like Ashfield . And so it proved , Brady showed what he was all about . We tried our best , but on the day we were just beaten by a better side , but some of the racing was terrific and as a speedway fan that is what i want . -
It's nothing really to do with Benji Compton , everyone knows he wont score much more than the other Fast Track sacrificial lambs Poole have used so far . It's the belief that Poole have pulled some sort of stroke that has got the usual suspects jumping up and down . Yes Poole have , on occasion , bent the rules a bit . But one misdemeanor involving the lesser Compton should really register much on the injustice seismic level .

Anders back to riding last year's lawn mower today i fear . Kevin Wolbert's record against the better PL sides this season is nothing short of woeful , today is the day he really needs to step up to the plate and deliver . -

That's the situation that happened at Berwick last night and will happen at Glasgow today . This nonsense has to stop , people want to see their riders riding for their team from one week to the next . Yes injuries happen and there's not a lot that can be done about that . But to turn up and support your team and discover one or two of your riders is away riding in a daft long track meeting in some god forsaken part of Europe is completely unacceptable and cant be allowed to continue -

It does though . I paid £16 to get into Kings Lynn v Leicester the other week and paid £16 to get into Ipswich v Glasgow the following evening . -

Oh dear , nasty rumours about Glasgow sweeping the Dump on a Friday . The concern is touching , but with Alan Dick still heavily involved with the club , that wont happen . I think this is more the lad's frustration with the financial outlay when riders go through a spate of blown engines . He's not the first speedway rider that's happened to and wont be the last . -
Trouble is , speedway tries these things with the best intentions , but invariably makes a pigs ear of it . We had a similar thing in the PL in 2006 where reserves were graded A , B and C and were supposed to be at reserve all season . Halfway through the season the governing body decided Steve Boxall and Jon Armstrong , might have been one or two more , were now too good to be at reserve so the thing was thrown into turmoil .

Berwick Vs Edinburgh 12/8 Live On Sky
Paulco replied to bigeddiechek's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
People are sick of it . You cant expect neutrals to be enticed by half a team turning up , i read on another thread that Berwick could be without Vissing and Kus at Overtaking Nirvana next Friday night . We have the same nonsense against Somerset on Sunday with Pijper and Berge missing . Okay Berge has now since broke his wrist , but he would have been at some long track nonsense instead of riding for his team . There's too much of this crap now filtered it's way into the PL schedule , between that and doubling uppers not knowing exactly who they're supposed to be riding for - is it any wonder crowds are dwindling at an alarming rate . -

I'm pretty sure Dimitri has now done enough meetings to qualify as a Glasgow asset regardless of whatever the Dark Lord or any potential vultures might think . And time will prove young Dimitri will become France's best ever speedway rider -

every track has the potential to be a gaters track , even that overtaking nirvana in West Lothian they were probably too embarrassed to complain -

That's disappointing both for the lad and the club . It's bad enough when your riders get injured actually riding for your club , but when it's stuff like this it's hard to take -
Toughie this week as it's the Title challenging Rebels in town . No Dimitri as he is meant to be away riding in some long track nonsense at the weekend , but I've heard a worrying rumour that he's crashed and broke something during practice for the aforementioned nonsense . Added to that , Theo might also get a wild card into that rubbish and we've already got a three point man riding at number 1 . I fear a pumping on Sunday . Stranger things have happened I suppose , but it's not looking good for us I don't think .

Don't be ridiculous , the forum should be fun too and if you can't have a bit of micky taking with your rivals at times , then it's a sad day . It's only when it crosses the line that it becomes unwelcome . -
