It should be , if only to save the loyal supporters from being put in the position of - do i not go because of half our team being missing and damaging our club financially , or do i go and watch a sub standard product and give promoters and riders carte blanche to continue with running our sport in this fashion

While technically it might not be the fault of the promotion , it's a completely unacceptable for fans to turn up to support our team and have less than half a team to support . Injuries happen ( hence no Berge ) we know that , but the rest is a nonsense . If a football team has 2 or more players missing through international call ups , then the match gets called off . Yes i know speedway is different and we cant afford just to call off meetings , but is the alternative i.e. a heavy home defeat in front of a sparse crowd really going to do us any good ?

This should be a watershed moment , if foreign riders want to come here and ride , then they have to agree that the club they agree to ride for comes first . If they want to pursue personal glory in other competitions then they sign for a club that has a race night that these other considerations don't come into conflict with that club , or they just dont bother and indulge themselves on the continent every week . If that results in a watered down Premier League , then so be it . As fans we welcome 7 riders to our clubs at the start of every season , we want to watch them ride for our clubs every week ( barring injuries of course ) . What we dont want is what we have now , rider A cant be here as he's on long track duty , rider B cant be here he's riding in Poland , rider C has to ride in the Mongolian best pairs . Seriously what we have tomorrow is cheating the public . Rant over

What the hell is going on ? How can they expect folk to pay £16 to watch that ? The alarm bells were ringing when i checked my e-mails for the " red alert " newsletter , and there was none Just had a text , we have 3 guests and r/r , Rye House have 2 guests and r/r the sport is sadly dying on it's arse . This is a sad day for Premier League speedway when it gets reduced to this farce .

Was stood with my Comets supporting friends on the 2nd bend last week and we remembered a race Rusty had with Joe Screen , was a heat 15 during a league match a couple of years back . Possibly the best race i've ever seen round Derwent Park

Rusty was just a joy to watch last Friday . On his game , there's not many better than Rusty round Derwent Park . Even the Comets fans round about me were disappointed when he couldn't catch Bach in heat 15

After what i saw last Friday night , i can't see Workington making the play offs

Yes i'm afraid so haha . I remember standing on the 3rd bend last time , when we had amassed the grand total of 12 points after heat 8 , and thinking " why do i come here and put myself through this lol " , it's been a long time since the heady days of 2011 when we came here and battered them twice during the month of August . Since then it's been the same sorry tale of pumping after pumping on Britain's top technical track . But i'll drag myself along more in hope rather than expectation .

It's a double header , therefore you were quite correct starting the thread with both meetings surely . You cant just pay to get in for the 2nd fixture in a double header , so a twinned heading is surely correct

A financially essential gimmick , plus the entertainment and suspense it gives the fans . It's the high point of the season in many , many sports .

A more structured pricing , £16 to get into say Glasgow v Sheffield and £16 to get into Kings Lynn v Leicester is wrong . Riders more commited to their clubs or don't bother . Going along to see your team and either them or the opposition have riders away in the Danish /Swedish / Czech leagues or riding some mickey mouse long track/grasstrack meeting has to stop . Tracks prepared fairly and consistant , none of this home advantage nonsense . And only overnight rain showers permitted between March and October But the play-offs have to stay .
